You can spread it open a bit with your fingers, same as you might when rinsing it, then inserting it. There's too much friction on some holes if I don't do that. There's a method where you can use both hands to spread it carefully and put the stick in your mouth then insert it all the way. Mineral oil is going to seep through and gradually eat away at the box. Then seep through the box and eat away at whatever the box is lying on top of, staining it. I only have one silicone doll, and had a TPE doll. The general consensus is that TPE requires regular oiling with mineral oil to maintain, I oiled mine every few months but it still had tears here and there.
