Why? I thought Americans are cool and awesome because of cowboys. But then, reality steps in.
Fuck, I should have stayed with my Chinese culture all along

While it's true for the attitudes that many weeaboos have, they really are two different things here and there.

Reverse weeaboos like comics. Batman, Spiderman, things like that.

>> No.3714800

Except that Americans would be flattered if a foreigner moved there because of his love of their cartoons.

I've always thought reverse weeaboos to obsess over Western cinema rather than cartoons. Hideo Kojima, for instance, is into American films which you can see from his games.

American cartoons don't offer the same type of escapism unless it's for nostalgia (which you'd really only experience if you grew up with it). They're just comedy and kids shit that don't do anything better than Japanese cartoons of note.

Aren't American movies mainstream over there, though?

No, they wouldn't. Maybe you would, but picture some buttugly pimpled greasy Asian who says he collects everything about the Powerpuff Girls and wishes he could be the little American girl coming over see how many Americans (including all your normalfags, jocks and pretty princesses) will go "Hey, welcome abroad!"
