Rate-up characters eventually get added to the general pool, and therefore are always gettable once so added. Festival units are only gettable on banners they are explicitly a part of. Note that current global policy is to wait 3 months between a character’s rate-up and their actual addition to the general pool. Also, pull rates are bad for characters on rate-up, absolutely abysmal for characters not on rate up, and only gong to get worse as more friends get added. In short, don’t listen to idiots who tell you to wait to get spooked by a general friend you want. Fucking spark them.

I personally tried a few rolls with saved up cubes before paying any real money, like I usually do. Thankfully I got lucky and got her and Utsuho before I had to cash out. In exchange, she has a higher base stat total, and her damage is treated as if she was 40(?) levels higher than normal. Gamepress says she does 50-70% more damage as a result, but I'm unable to check if that's the case.

After rebirthing, you gain the ability to buy a wedding-themed skin using a Ring of Fate and 30k coins. You can also buy an animated portrait for a lv100 rebirthed character using coins and scrolls.

Cirno and Kosuzu are probably your best bet in the normal pool. Cirno has more water breaks overall, but they require more P to get. Kosuzu has a strong all-target water LW, but her other water is on one solo-target spellcard.
Koishi is probably the best water breaker that isn't Murasa or Yuyukoko, but she's festival.

Why has no one mentioned this Focus buff from the JP maintenance notif? Seems like having high Focus will divide damage from all-target attacks so low Focus characters take less damage. That's a huge buff for every tank.

Not really? Like, if you want Fire and don't care for Shion, your best options are Remilia (pretty much like Kosuzu), Mokou (better Cirno), or Satori (worse Koishi, since her LW is mostly Earth). There other characters with fire breaks, but it's mostly on one spellcard (Okuu, Okina, Rojo) or just their LW (Nemuno, Kasen). Same as water being just on some spellcards (Kanako, Suwako, Nitori).
Looking at it, the main difference is that no global character has water on their LW without having it in their spellcards.

If the new Yorihime can hit something with a slayer effect then it is fucking dead because of her insane crit damage. If the jap calculations are correct then only someone like Cyber Marisa with her burn effects against her main target or Hecatia with her best card can outdamage her.

I appreciate Komachi's giant boobs but I don't appreciate Yukari's. I like when they're packed in and you're given only a slight glance, if that. When they're hanging out I find them unattractive.

Did 60 battles to test the new auto-play stuff. Works perfectly fine. Truly an in-game macro. Devs said it stops when characters reach deadly motivation levels but this did not push anyone far enough for it to check that out.

Not much, you will generally plan around that stuff anyway and the benefits you get from those barrier status effects are massive. Hecatia has the same barrier gimmick and she is one of the absolute best characters. It does cut into her damage on reguar full auto play though because that mode uses up the max number of barriers on the final wave.

from what I understand, the reason for this stems from the translation eliminating most things that gave your character an indication of age
like, the task section was originally homework (with the game taking the approach that lots of characters attend keine's school), and lots of the older characters would treat you like a kid (stuff like patting your head when you finish your homework, etc) while the younger characters would treat you like a peer
when you look at it like this, it suddenly makes more sense why they're a little protective (well, it's still a bit over the top, but you can't win em all)
