I do not see it getting a live adaption but I could see someone copying the setting. All you need to do is write a story about famous warriors coming back to life, teaming up with modern humans, and fight to the death for a reward. Change it up a bit so you can have as few comparisons to fate. Kind of like what inception, black swan, and squid game did.

Urobuchi made a great story that's easily accessible by the masses and some autists don't like that. It threatened the sense of specialness they had from reading the VN first.

The best kind of fanservice is subtle and casual, not blatant unless it is an ecchi series with a puritan character caught out for the first time.
Koyama with his subtle slips and his blatant protrusions, more blatant than even Takeuchi ever does are fun.
He really likes the stretch lines in the top at the bust line.

DW were the ones that worked on the console ports for TsukiR so it makes sense for them to work on the console ports for Mahoyo. They can also work on it while letting TM work on FGO and Tsuki2 since I doubt they have enough people to work on a Mahoyo port for consoles with all the other stuff they have going on.

Pretty slim. He’s too busy with TsukiR, FGO, Extra Remake, and whatever other anime movie he writes for like the FGO movie. I think they’ll announce a Mahoyo port for modern consoles but announcing Mahoyo 2 at TM’s 20th anniversary next year would just be a repeat of the TsukiR situation and waiting forever for it. TM is just too small to work on Mahoyo 2 and TsukiR at the same time not to mention FGO. Maybe they’ll tease something in the Mahoyo port or maybe he’ll reconfirm them sequels that were planned for it in an interview. We’ll get an answer next year.

What is Sakura's appeal? I can understand Rin's or Saber's appeal since we come to learn a lot about them in the story and they're presented as complex, but Sakura is not like that, it's more like she only represents Shiro's normal life, away from his handed down ideals, but she has really nothing going on for her, like you're supposed to pity her and that's all.

It’s the fall of a hero and eventually a rising arc as he becomes more heroic than ever before as he surpasses Archer his old ideal. And in the end after losing the memory of Kerry’s last night he states his original ideal to Sakura of always wanting to help those that he loves. After losing most of his memories a new ideal is born. As he loses his old body he is reborn once again. Honestly, I've come to think that a lot of people dislike Sakura not for being badly written but for not being entertaining, which I think is the point. I find Rin’s romance to easily be the weakest. I can’t remember any romance scene between Shirou and Rin that I really care about. They have great chemistry but their romance is normal and the most realistic which makes it the most boring for me. Sakura and Shirou’s romance works as a romance that is born to fail and is as dramatic as it can be as it’s basically the two of them against the world. They also have fantastic scene together like the Rain scenes which is an incredible scene of Sakura baring her soul to Shirou and him trying his best to console her. The knife scene is also a powerful scene of Shirou at his worst of foolishly deluding himself into thinking he can save Sakura and win the war as Sakura laments that she’s broken a once noble soul and find sick pleasure in it in the darkest part of her mind. I can’t think of any scene between Rin and Shirou that is even close to that one. Maybe the scene with Rin taking about how distorted Shirou is after Illya’s death? Shirou and Sakura’s cute and fucked up romance is way more appealing to me as I love Nasu’s darker writing and HF being the darkest and messsiest Route works perfectly for their romance that is on the brink of collapse.

I always thought Shiki was the king. Remake version is just the same great guy but more fleshed out with more frequent and detailed interactions with the rest of the cast. He's always had a stellar outlook and philosophy he's built around.

The VA does an amazing job conveying the emotions of the character for real though. Whether it's just his light and sarcastic attitude with certain characters or the heavy and emotional scenes, it's just great. It was really impressive because Shiki is a character that goes through insanity inducing situations and displays a complete umbrella of emotions. The 'AKIHA!!!' scream lives in my mind. Totally inhuman. You really feel the heaviness and darkness of the story. And I always get shivers when the voice drops and you know Nanaya is near. That's when it's time to sit up straight. All in all I feel the same way as Arc does. I love his kindness and his danger. He's the scary and reliable character we come to love.

The damn bursts and he's watching it happen as almost a third party. It was all slowed down and he knocks her unconscious. Pretty much how I feel. I like both and think they're hands down TM's best products from a writing standpoint. I just prefer Shiki. He's by default someone who'll give up his place in the world for those he loves and his unique objectivity towards death keeps him very grounded and realistic in how he'll weigh things. His story is more one of someone struggling to remain who he is because the alternative is a nightmare for the world. It really shows how integral the meeting between Shiki and Aoko was because throughout the novel you'll always find Shiki recalling that time as a point of foundation for who he strives to be/remain. A story about coming to terms with and accepting his dangerous talents while staying true to his way of being despite those very skills threatening to upend his whole existence. Yet in the end he finds meaning in his power and continues fighting to carve out a place to belong as someone whose existence has basically been one of deprivation.

Great post. Shiki’s depth is more subdued to him not being a big focus of the game but still having some key moments for to express his character like in the school scene with Arc. One of his most amazing moments is in KT in DDM talking to Shiki about his thoughts on what he talked to SHIKI about in Kohaku’s Route. He was Nanaya back then and saying that he’s a wolf in a herd of sheep that can’t live within society. Shiki on the other hand tells SHIKI that he wants to try his best to stay in society even as a wolf. He wants to live a normal life with his friends as someone that can kill anyone at any moment yet he still strives to be a good person. Brilliant moment overall.

Most of the story is shit since it feels the writers have too many restrictions like having to write the story around the faceless MC with no characters traits and his dumb purple kouhai while also forcing a lot of unnecessary characters and shit so you feel like you need to spend money and roll for them.
Nasu's chapters are the best of the bunch since it feels he has the right to do what the hell he wants to. Both of his chapters in part 1 are not even about the faceless MC and have some interesting ideas (Sir Bedivere having to return the sword after he failed to do so following the battle of camlann and Gilgamesh facing the downfall of Mesopotamia as a wise king). That said, they're still not as good as any of his VNs. Not even close. They're enjoyable but not really "good".
Part 2 is far more interesting and every chapter so far has been pretty enjoyable, but it really depends on who's writing the chapter.
Don't bother "playing" the game, there's no need to hurt yourself like that. If you're interested you read the story on youtube or any other page.
TL;DR: Not really worth it unless you're really in need for more Nasu's autismo.
