Tell me /jp/ why is anime/manga art so unappreciated?

I mean I've seen so many unbelievably beautiful pictures, that have a deep meaning and everything. Yet no one opens an Art galery with anime manga art.

While picaso and others that make pictures that look like badly drawn MSPAINT are praised and get money?

because animu art is pretty fucking easy to draw and the people good enough for it not to matter only draw fanart.

>> No.3695189

Wow, this thread. Amazing thread. Good work.

>> No.3695196

Because there are a fuckton of great anime/manga arts and they're easily accessible. Why would you visit an art gallery when you can view the same art work in its full quality with a click of your mouse?

While artwork in galleries are unique, you won't find another copy of it anywhere unless it is really famous.

>> No.3695198

Bias, I guess. Personally, I also wish anime-styled art was more popular. It is a very aesthetically pleasing art style that would be a pity to be forgotten in the future.

A lot of professional artists still draw fanart because it helps their popularity.

Why don't we do something beneficial to society in our lives and get people to appreciate the beauty and simplicity of modern Japanese art?

>> No.3695215

Animu art is probably the most dominant art form in the world right now, endlessly copied, and yet somehow it's unappreciated.

Also I don't think this is really true. But then I'm no art expert.

WRONG, see every time i see something like this i get the HNGGGGGGGH feeling or MOE~ feeling or just a warm fuzzy feeling thing in my body.

If art is about feeling, then japanese art is the pinnacle of it. Not to mention how good it feels to fap to doujins and hentai manga.

Because when idiots see the manga art style they think of HURR DURR NARUTO XD. I've seen fantastic art (Look up Pixiv Fantasia) drawn in this style but manga will never be taken seriously because of places like DeviantArt and the type of people who attend anime clubs.

I'd like to see a manga art gallery with work from major mangaka and some pixiv artists but it will never happen because no one takes manga seriously.
