I'm sorry to have doubted Umineko due to the art. Sure it can be pretty damn boring in quite a few places but when it gets good, it gets really good.

Also Dread of the Grave is now playing in your head.

There are better things.

Really? I found Umineko's writing to be quite poor. He can't properly write a mystery, so he hides it by saying it's some kind of romance. However, the romance is horribly written, so really he loses out on both ideas.

Speaking of which... when is Baldr Sky getting translated?

No-one (that wasn't trolling) ever said differently. It's solidly entertaining though, and the discussions about it are top notch.

I don't even mean in terms of it being a mystery. Usually I expect to be able to follow a mystery somewhat and draw my own conclusions but this thing is so out of my hands all I can do it sit back and watch.

But when the conflicts come about, just the mood and the music make for a very entertaining experience I feel.

Umineko is shit and the fans are shit.

I can see what you mean.
However, it's hard for me to get past most of the text so when a conflict does come, it is exciting but I know that after it I'll have to start slugging through the main story again.

Why don't you play a real-deal game instead?
