Is it worth learning japanese?

No, frankly not even Japanese people are all that impressed by it beyond the absolute basics. There's actually a commonly-held belief in Japanese society that people who are not of fully Japanese descent are neurologically incapable of learning the language to fluency.

Seriously. It takes twice as long to learn as practically anything other language on the planet and that's your reward: the people who speak it will constantly treat you like an idiot because nothing will convince them you're really as fluent as you sound.

The tiny minority of Japanese women who do want to date a foreigner don't particularly want one who speaks Japanese well anyway, they want someone to practice their english with.

Here is the fastest way to learn Japanese so you can skip all the scam "guides" which are just Patreon advertisements.

>learn the two Anki decks "Heisig RTK 1+3"and ​"Core 6k deck" in YOUR speed (you should do the new card amount depending on your free time and comfort)
>learn the grammar from basic and intermediate to advanced (you need to do grammar every day with your speed and it doesn't really matter if you use textbooks or grammar dictionaries to learn the grammar as long as you enjoy it)
Now here is the "secret" which is proven to be to fastest gain (no, you can't learn passive, it's a meme created by retards)
>find a Visual Novel that is fully voiced and which you literally love
>learn the VN in English only (no Japanese, it’s even better to disable Japanese voice acting until you are one with the VN) and literally treat it like your PhD thesis where you analysis everything and know everything about
>After you are fused with your loved VN in English, repeat it over and over in full Japanese (never look something up and just keep pushing) while doing your daily two Anki decks and your grammar learning. You are maybe even rereading your VN for the 40th+ time before being fluent

That's it. The "toughest" language on earth is so fucking easy to learn if you just familiarize yourself with the Kanji through Heisig and then it's just what you would do with every other language, reading and making sure that you don't read something wrong (you know the VN in English, so you can't accidentally learn something wrong)

The biggest advice in life is learning as ACTIVE as possible. The more brain power you invest, the more you gain, no matter what you are doing.
Also if you complain about learning Japanese, I highly recommend reading about the linguistic history of Japanese. You will enjoy learning Japanese much more when you realize how amazing it is to never have to guess and actually hearing original Japanese without analyzing some old scripts and guessing the pronunciation.
