The super uses the kanji as both Kara no Kyoukai and King Hassan's personal skill At the Boundary, so chances are high it's referring to the boundary between life and death. This is actually pretty funny, because Mahoyo obviously isn't seven thousand pages long, even FSN's only like 3k. I'm pretty sure what they're doing is counting a "page" as one screen of text, so that's gonna vary from a single sentence to a long paragraph.

The MTL rewrite is still going at a pretty quick pace, there are a couple autists who will sit down whenever they have some time off and do one or two entire days. The longer part is the editing, making sure the meaning matches the Japanese, that the characters have consistent speech patterns, stuff like that. I think a couple of the guys are also obsessing a little about the first release being near perfect to avoid getting overly shit on for "MTL garbage lmao"
Obviously the original anon going on about finishing in a week was delusional, but the group is actually focused on translating so there's good progress being made on a daily basis.

It's cool that Shiki gets this kind of choice.

Basically Shiki get called up by noel to an abandoned area. When he arrives he finds her torturing the two vampires that had been abducting people in the department store. The two who kicked him down into the basement hell. They are tied up with black keys stuck through their feet and a cathedral set up. They are bound and gagged to a set of chairs. She's doing a sort of interrogation to find the names of the victims but also it's clear she's enjoying the act of making them suffer. She's going ham to the point that their eyes no longer have any murderous intent. That passed hours ago. She's using a baptized tool that stabs and burns rather than cuts because vampires of their rank don't feel pain and so it's to make them understand.
She slowly dismembers them, completely destroying their form. They are hard to kill and she lacks the expertise and skill of a master chef trained to keep the food as fresh as possible but the end result is similar since vampires are so hard to kill. In the end all that's left is the head alive which she stuffs along with the rest of the body into a 50cm box.

Meanwhile the other vampire who has no eyelids is watching the whole thing. This is when she turns to Shiki and gives you the option to take his revenge.

Either he chooses to reject the offer and take no part which mildly pisses her off and she goes ham on the other one or Shiki accepts.

The scene is pretty cool and I get why Nanaya and Noel work out in some worlds. She thinks it's too much for him but is surprised when he decides to do it. Shiki is extremely nonchalant about it. She mentions how he doesn't look happy about it. Shiki says he doesn't want to. It's too much trouble.

He walks over to the chair with the vampire and the tons of the scene immediately shifts. It's like he's the master and she's the apprentice. He's like 'Saw.' and is just so calm and collected as if it's nothing. She's surprised and asks if he would like her to show him. Shiki responds that it's fine, he's seen how she's done it and in the end it just goes in the box.

Shiki stares at the pitiful creature as it looks at him, with eyes as if they are begging for mercy, tears flowing. Shiki recognizes the look as one he saw in the basement. The eyes of those looking for hope that doesn't exist. A look that even a vampire with no way to return to human, no way to save themself, will still have so long as they are intelligent.

Shiki drops the saw and says that he knew it wouldn't work. Noel raises her voice in condemnation. The vampire is hopeful.

Shiki says it's a waste of time as he pulls out his knife and removes his glasses. In one motion he beheads the vampire and dismembers it. Instantly killing it.

Noel is stunned.

Shiki thinks simply that if you decide to kill, then kill. He doesn't have time to waste like Noel. Just do it efficiently.

Noel basically gets wet here. Completely shifting from aversion to strong admiration as she marvels at his work. She's at a loss for words for a while as to how quick and clean it was.

Shiki says he was unhappy about the tool. Not her taste. He doesn't particularly care or mind in general. He asks if she can clean up which she jumps to oblige. She tells him to go clean up with the shower downstairs and she'll be right there.

Actually I agree that proximity matters but not exactly in the way you described. Presumably if human originated from some particular location on the planet (say Africa) and spread outwards as they evolved, the language would evolve/change as they moved. Being east asian and all, Japanese and Koreans are more closely related genetically so it's likely the languages are more similar as well than say a random indo-european language. The thing about FSN's routes are that they are big enough that they can focus on multiple characters. Even if you don't like Rin, UBW focuses on Archer and Shirou just as much. HF is my favourite route despite not liking Sakura because I loved the Kirei, Illya, and Rider moments.

Tsukihime's routes are short so if you don't like the main heroine you probably won't enjoy the route at all since she is all its focused on.

The characters are by far the best part of Fate. Shirou or Kirei might seem rather simple at first, but they are explored in such interesting ways it's hard not to care about them and their struggles in the end.

It was a given that the remake was going to be voiced when it finally came out. The voice actors from Melty Blood work well for light-hearted spinoffs where Hisui and Kohaku are flanderized into LOLRANDUMxD, but if they were to be made to voice act the more down-to-earth original portrayals, Kohaku and Hisui's high-pitched voices would be completely unfitting, not to mention the unique qualities of Hisui's voice would make Kohaku imitating her in the Hisui route entirely unconvincing. Melty always had Magic Circuit as the name for the meter yeah, and they are mentioned in the VN, but he has a point that the references to them in MBTL are really odd. Of the MBTL roster, only Ciel and Roa (and Saber, I guess) rely on them for their powers.

Shiki is martial arts and Mystic Eyes, Arc is a nature spirit who doesn’t need magecraft (which is a human invention to replicate abilities like hers), Miyako is a martial artist, the maids are both non-fighters in the actual story with slapstick movesets, and Vlov is using normal vampire stuff and Idea Blood.

The two ???s are Akiha who is mostly oni stuff like Kouma but who also has access to some Onmyoji stuff iirc, and Noel who explicitly uses Church magecraft but who may or may not have circuits (since it’s very ambiguous as to how most members of the Church use magecraft) but niehter have circuits mentioned. Not all Nasuverse martial artists are using what's considered supernatural or "magical" in-universe. Shuwen definitely is but the Nanaya Arts, Kuzuki's snake, Miyako's Bajiquan, etc. aren't. There's a few weird ambiguous cases like Soujuurou where I'm not sure how much of what's going on is metaphorical and how much is literal, but for the most part, martial arts just allow humans to move at 200km/h and run on walls and ceilings in this universe without any magic being involved at all.

Read the novel again so you can be sure of it. She was clearly mad with love. She is literally called a love monster. Part of the dynamic between Shiki and Arc is the balance of love, attraction and their instincts of killing and bloodsucking. She was also clearly pissed about the whole Ciel shit and the humiliation Shiki brings her and the feelings in general he arouses are uncontrollable. To say she just felt a little passion is retarded lol. The whole final couple hours was Arc literally TRYING TO BE NOTICED by the boy she loves and being super jealous but that scene is hard to get so maybe you didn't see it. Tsukihime is literally about boy meets girl and the feelings born through a miracle encounter. Especially so for Arc route.

As for the first time she was killed. She says that she hurt so much she almost went insane and by the end of it she was filled with so much hate and the desire for revenge that it consumed her being and warped into just the desire to meet the one who humiliated her so perfectly. Later she realizes she loved him before she met him and got to know him. This is literally the first and only time she's ever felt so strongly about anything.

Well, the whole Arc's premise is that she was pretty robotic before the Tsukihime events took place, thus she is flooded with a lot of emotions she doesn't understand or control after she met Shiki.
So yes she is very much in love with Shiki (I just wouldn't call it mad), which is pretty straight-forward in her route.

She question is in the Ciel's route, where she goes out of control, which I attributed a lot to being killed again while in a weakened state already and humiliation etc. Obviously her feelings for Shiki does play a big role, but I just couldn't bring myself to think of it as the whole reason for her going bonkers (she is said multiple times to be on a brink of loosing herself even without Shiki's help).

I would say she certainly did lose control. Her emotions drove her to the point where she nearly caused her own death. She just couldn't stop thinking about Shiki. It's just that the emotions in the forefront of this route were less about bloodthirst for her lovers blood and more about passion, desire and jealousy. I guess it comes down to whether you see thirst as more controlling and involuntary than her burning emotions in Ciel True. I don't personally given the story.

Well, Arc's new design in the obvious one. She looks much younger and more sexual than before, not having her rare, more mature charm she was associated with.
Ciel also seemed to love Shiki pretty much from the get-go as well which was not so straight-forward in OG as I remember it, and the whole Burial Agency and Church (except for Noel ofc) is just to fucking chill and not as radical.

I think you're just misremembering or something because Nasu explicitly talks about how he didn't like how Ciel had no reason to love Shiki in the original and she just kind of helped him out for no reason. This is part of the reason why Ciel's role in Arc's route was changed and she's a bit more cold to him in it.

And getting rejected is one thing, but getting your throat cut, with his eyes to boot, is completely another matter and in this case I felt that her emotions where pretty adequate for the situation, especially considering the state she was in the first place. And in general, throughout the route, to me her emotions seemed pretty reasonable and may be even reserved in a way, considering everything.

I think saying her emotions were out of control is correct. She abused her powers as a true ancestor in order to kill Ciel and kill (obtain) Shiki, which is obviously something she would never have even considered before being killed by Shiki. She even uses event storage which is a system to revert the planet back to its original state, and would have ended up killing herself if Shiki hadn't destroyed her before she got to the school.
The scene you unlock if you have enough Arc affection points shows just how contradictory her emotions are and irrational she's acting. It was like she was so mad she went through bloodlust and came out the other side.

There is a scene at the end where she's conveying her thoughts as she's losing herself and about to vanish due to exiting the system and beginning to gain a self as the astral body. She goes about saying how she's been trying to ignore him the whole time even as she keeps feeling him. That only Ciel is her enemy and he's not important. She's lying to herself we find out in the end. She's so absorbed in the person she was trying to ignore. She's full of conflicting emotions of pain and joy. She admits to herself how jealous/envious of Ciel she is which is huge given her personality. Even if he's thinking about her in the context of helping Ciel she's happy that he's focused on her. Eventually when he goes to stab the world point she is full of joy thinking 'That's my Killer!' She could feel his heart. He was going to kill her but there was no hostility or hatred. He's her same funny scary special Shiki she's always known. But as she disappears she thinks even he had surely given up on her and she wishes she had vanished before any of it happened(which makes that scene where he instantly fights to save her even more special). To me it's clear she's just a girl in love. Love monster as the game calls her.

Fate being boring and lacking is by far the most consistent opinion of it that I've ever seen, normalfags and hardcores alike. Didn't help how the constant Saber faces made people's opinion of the original Saber dip over the years for being too vanilla (though this is a sentiment I absolutely do not hold, nor do I think this is fair to hold over the original Fate itself, but people do this regardless). If Fate/Stay Night ever get's a remake the Fate route in particular is absolutely getting the Remake Ciel treatment I think. Also people were butthurt over the ending but this was actually something the original Fate route did right and held some weight, Happily ever after fags need not apply.

How is Rin not a terrible heroine? The Prologue from her perspective was pretty lame in comparison to Shirou's perspective, her backstory is generic and her mage family is completely uninteresting, her disposition towards Shirou is practically the same regardless of route which makes her feel like less of a character and more just an excuse to infodump and exposition (which is her role every single time because Shirou is too dumb), always an ally to Shirou for no reason, and why she has a crush on him is probably the funniest shit in a Nasu work it's so silly (and that's saying something). Rin is carried hard by Archer.

Heaven's Feel was always the more interesting route due to how different it was from Fate and UBW, which I always appreciated, and also that final battle between Shirou and Kotomine which everyone agrees is great, but that doesn't mean everyone loved it, not from what I saw anyway, it was always controversial for it's overall structure and its heroine which takes up a massive portion of it. It's common opinion that Unlimited Blade Works was just much better overall.

As with Tsukhiime is carried a bit by the Far Side routes, F/SN as a whole is carried a bit by UBW honestly. At least this is how I've always gauged the consensus over the years.

Wtf. This is the first time I've heard this and this is coming from someone whose favorite route is UBW.
When you think of moments everyone loves in F/SN, people always talk about scenes from HF like NLBW and Shirou vs Kirei. And if we're gonna go with the Far Side comparison, that is obviously HF for F/SN. Yes, Sakura is a controversial heroine, although I think the movies have shifted the major opinion, but HF has always been considered the best and most well-written route. It's the conclusion to Shirou's story and where arguably every character is at their best, apart from the servants.

Game is packed with lots of cool shit from both a mechanical standpoint(as in which choices shift you down the line) to just plain good scenes. Like if you choose to help Noel kill the vampire or if you descend into sanity a little too much you get a very different progression up until the encounter with Ciel in the crater. I replayed Near Side recently and both Ciel and Arc say a lot of shit. I think it the hostility makes more sense from Ciel's POV in two fold: warning a human to stay away from vampires/True Ancestor, but also warning a potential Roa candidate to stay away from Arc for her own objective to kill his soul for good without letting him reincarnate (which would happen if Arc kills him). Ciel still gets involved in Akiha's route and even in the OG she still took Shiki to the school to meet Arc despite knowing neither of them are in any condition to face Roa. She was nowhere near as charismatic in the original contrasted to the remake, but she was still nosy and clearly cared even in her capacity as a plot device.
