Arc route is worse than the original, while Ciel route is better (not counting Ciel's true end)-
The problem with comparing The Remake to the Original is that for now the Remake is not complete, so we can only compare the things that we have.
That said, I'll add that as a Remake so far Tsuki R is kinda bad, mainly because most of the newly added stuff is shit.
out of the 20 something hours of new content only 5 hours or so are good.

I feel like most people ignored this part of the OP since everyone who’s read the VN knows there’s a hime CG in the flashback. But then it could also allude to Arc seeing strange dreams ever since she’s a child and hime Arc waking up in the field of flowers instead of being chained in the throne could allude to that. Then the reflection of Arc heading to Shiki vs Arc wandering alone in the Millenium Castle. Not to mention the song is about yearning for someone and pleading the moon (which is obviously Arc) not to disappear. Then again I could be overthinking this after seeing that extra scene from the prologue.

I am reading tsukihime for the first time and not much has unsettled me more than when shiki flew off the handle and killed arcueid. It seemed to have been written so well, especially when it scrolled for me. The build up was intense and left a lot of room for me to question things and second guess what was going on. I was even in denial until shiki took his glasses off.

It's not actually the same. Her old Melty blood profiles say she is specifically not a different personality and is in essence the same as Arcueid. It made note that her hair is important and to achieve that form she needs to get it back except in a special case here and there apparently. The main difference is principle of action. KT also said that it's just one part of the whole. Arc is also aware of that side of her personality unlike Ryougi. It would be nice if he actually explained it in the remake.

Fun facts about Type-Moon translations
So the TsukiRe translation has been running into a few technical issues for a while. It's functional and totally playable, but there's weird stuff like the game being locked to monospaced characters and random line breaks.
Now Melty Blood is out, and it has the exact same fucking problems. Even the official localization didn't fix it. Nasu really can't be bothered with EOPs

That sounds like a cope and bad writing. Nasu is setting things up to modify that. You're forgetting one thing Arc isn't Gaia and Melt Princess Arc implied she was Gaia. The remake made it clear that Gaia wold destroy Arc without hesitation if she's not useful.
So more likely "Princess Arc" if playable will be Gaia possessing her like Void is in Shiki body. Arc is a vessel, she could cancel or suppress her ego to possess. Either Gaia or Crimson Moon.

Nasu is just coping and is trying to think of a reason why he had to remove the fight. He thought Nero was too strong to be defeated so early but Nasu always tries to come up with an excuse why a stronger character gets defeated by a weaker one by either adding a flaw in the personality or a weakness in their power/body. Either way, any changes he made didn’t surpass any shit because Arc’s route stayed exactly the same with just a longer date scene. It even borrows scenes from Sasaki’s work which made it better. I think she healed him for starters. Unlike the normal ending he also wasn't so fucking destroyed to begin with so I don't think he ever died. The ending says something like the story isn't over and one such story could be one of a girl who no longer suffers from the curse of Roa continuing to protect people and a half-vampire given reprieve by the church that fights at her side. Also that they may meet Arcueid again and Shiki expects she'll do crazy shit like usual. Yes he is a half-vampire with Roa's records since Roa vanished prior to Shiki throwing Calvaria. Younger Shiki is interesting. It described themselves as the same person but two different phenomena. He's not the past of Shiki Tohno but rather the foundation I think was said. He liked Ciel and gave Shiki a nudge and told him not to make her cry. I expect this to be super important going in to farside where Nanaya will probably bleed through his consciousness more.

Tsukihime is not Dies Irae or Fate, the OG setting and plot points were kinda made with the limitations of the doujin formula in mind, doing big Dies Irae esque battles just feels jarring when it comes to Tsukihime, it simply doesn't work that well compared to something like Fate.
