Answer honestly, after 19 episodes now, do you or do you not enjoy DEEN's Umineko? Why?

>> No.3674999

is that so?

>> No.3674997

No because shit.

>> No.3675000

I dropped it after 10 or so episodes. It could be a lot worse, but it's not really worth watching if you read the visual novels. Not to mention the atmosphere/music in the anime is subpar.

>> No.3675003

Liked it at the beginning. Now it's fucking shit (it was shit in the beginning too, but I WANTED TO BELIEVE.)

>> No.3675011

They did an okay job with Higurashi. So far, they're doing an okay job with Umineko.

Enjoy? Not as much as the VN. It's not bad, though, so long as they stick to the story as it was written.

Conversely, do you think the VN is worthwhile for someone who's only watched the anime? Or would it be the same fatigued feeling of knowing it already, regardless of medium?

Yes
>Or would it be the same fatigued feeling of knowing it already, regardless of medium?
I don't know, but to be honest, the story really takes a backseat to me in regards to Umineko. It's strong point is the atmosphere/music, which is amazing and is completely left out in the anime.

>> No.3675029

I don't like it very much.

no

I didnt even got past episode1.
That is how shit it was.
I decided to watch the tsurupettan episode cause I want to see DFC animated but then I was greeted with a fucking shitty dok kyun original song.
Wake me up when it reaches hamburger and mincemeat episode. I liked to see that animated without QUALITY issue.

This.
In the VN they can take it slow and do things the anime wouldn't have the time needed to fit it in, not with all four question arcs being covered by 26 episodes.
If something isn't happening in the anime then it's basically wasted time.

Take it slow? He writes hours and hours of unnecessary detail and bullshit.

The entire thing is unnecessary detail and bullshit. Welcome to fiction, enjoy your stay.

I have bad news for you.
You know those magic fightan bullshit you see in the anime?
They are unnecessary detail and bullshit because it didn't happen.

I like watching the anime for the voices and the motion. For a real in depth story, I usually go for the manga.

Though just recently I found someone uploading episodes 3 and 4 of Umineko on Youtube which I found VERY helpful.

>> No.3675808

Not really. It leaves a lot to be desired in terms of scene length and a lot of the exposition has been left out.

get out

>> No.3675829

There is a Umineko anime?

>> No.3675834

I dropped it at episode 8 or 9. It was really bad. I was going to watch the magic fights but I heard they were also terrible so I guess I won't bother.

>> No.3675836

>>3674992
I don't enjoy it. I don't really know what it is in particular. But it just feels very drab. It isn't really that enjoyable to watch.

>> No.3675926

>>3675829
Probably a doujin production like the touhou anime.

>> No.3676710

there is no Umineko anime
