Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night, and VNs as a general format, would be a lot better if choice scenes, such as climatic battles or pivotal turning points in the plot, were animated.

But I guess that defeats the purpose of it being a VN in the first place. If anybody who made a VN could animate portions of it, they probably have the resources necessary to make a televised series of it to begin with.

Okay, maybe books can't have animations in them.

But they can have little thumb tacks or something coiled in the pages of fight scenes that get sprung on the reader when he opens to the page.

Eroge companies are small, they can't afford to do that. Plus most VNs don't have battles or really anything that needs to be animated (eroscenes could be but I'd just prefer more CGs).

Apparently Nitro+ can. Two of their games have some sort of animation, probably more. I haven't played all of them.

They really wouldn't. Look at Eve, it has a lot of animated scenes and despite being well animated they don't add anything to the game that normal CGs couldn't have.
