I'm doing the core2k deck from the itazuraneko site. How long should an anki review for a known card take? I read everything, including the sentence. It takes me about 1 minute which is a bit too long.
Is that ok or should I try to just focus on the word's reading+meaning and move on?

i was at your point once and got frustrated because of this. so i switched to anime cards.
reading the sentence only when you dont get the gist of the word and forgotten it.
you can add a hint: function to the sentence so you dont clutter your attention instanly on the sentence

always remember. anki is meant as SUPPLEMENT - not main course.

tip: turn off daily new words and only add new ones when you feel anki doesnt interrupt consuming true content.
