Touhou player here. I want to start reading the official Touhou manga, but I have no clue where to start. Should I just read all the series in order of release?

Is all boring shit

Why don't you find out by yourself you stupid niwaka

>> No.36216993

>>36216873
that's fine, suits my lifestyle.
>>36216940
well I could find out myself, but I value your input! also, no idea what a niwaka is.

I need to create my own Toho reading order some day that includes the exact date of when each chapter was released.

Sure. Check out ZUN's books too, Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red is great, and the other books are pretty interesting too.

You can't go wrong with order or release, I suppose.
It's not really that important though, there's no huge overarching storyline so you can just start reading whatever seems interesting to you.

Here you go – a material reading guide made by some anon back in 2016.

This almost feels like a joke. The order really isn't important, especially if you've played all the games already.

>> No.36220543

What do you mean the order isn't important? It's clear that the canon written works and manga follow some king of chronology. Even if OP finished all the games (we don't know if he did), reading chronologically would be less confusing.

There's really not that much to be confused about but I guess OP is welcome to waste his time following that retarded guide.

Of course not. It's just following chronology.
>waste his time following that retarded guide.
I barely look at it, but why exactly do you think it's retarded?

Because looking at the things it demands you do makes me sick. Is anyone really going to play the stupid back and forth game with the manga chapters or the SSiB/CiLR nonsense? Maybe it's just me but I prefer to read a work to completion before starting on another title.
Also, you can stop bumping the thread now, I'm sure OP recieved all the answers he's looking for by now.
