it's not legal to change last names where I live, only first names and you only get to do it twice in a lifetime, they charge you a fee and don't even update anything but social security card you have to jump through hoops to get your bank records updated your drivers license, other specialized licenses, it's a bitch and a pain so I've not changed my name yet
