so...I know this doesn't fall into the touhou/Ronery/RP reality that is /jp/ right now, but is anybody planning on taking the JLPT or already taken it? Any tips? I guess I'll be taking level 2 in the Winter

I'm thinkin: Japanese Language Placement Test, but how does that relate at all the the average anon?
I know of no such JLPT in my area. sos this a national thing or something?

oh yeah, sorry about that. Yeah, the JLPT is the Japanese Language Placement Test, its pretty much the official test to prove you know moonspeak, I think you need it for most real jobs in Japan (i.e. not JET). They administer it nationally in December I think. There are 4 levels: (4)Beginner, (3)Intermediate (conversational?), (2)Business, and (1)Native Speaker
