Okay, I checked out this "cure dolly" thing and... it sets of a lot of red flags.

First and perhaps least important, the robot-voice gimmick will prevent any teaching of actual Japanese pronunciation. It's unnatural and at times near-incomprehensible in English; there's no way that they can use that gimmick while also presenting Japanese phonetics in any meaningful way. This isn't an utterly crippling issue if the channel intends to be nothing more than a grammar-explanation supplement, but it is a warning sign.

The unforgivable problems begin as soon as Lesson 1 goes out of its way to trash actual academic Japanese teaching, and lies in service of this slander. Like the idea that textbooks "don't teach Japanese structure." This is just... a lie. I learned the fundamentals of Japanese sentence structure in college, so at best the video-maker here is basing false sweeping claims on a splash of anecdote without actually doing rigorous research.

The video claims that Japanese is "the simplest and most logical" language in the world and implies that "odd structures and exceptions that you have to memorize" are just the result of bad teaching by bad "Western" teachers. But... this is also BS. Japanese does have odd structures and exceptions to its regular rules. All natural languages do.

It gets even more hilarious when the video gives a smug, self-congratulatory explanation for the concept of subject-predicate with its train analogy.

I could go on picking apart the video's layers of multifaceted BS. But if you boil it down, it's the same old tune as any con artist:

"Don't trust the experts; only listen to me."

The irony is astounding when you consider how many "Western" textbooks were written by native speakers of Japanese, and how many people teaching the language are native speakers of Japanese, but even if that weren't the case, this is a dangerous, backwards, creepy creed that's at the core of everything from Trumpist fascism to laughable conspiracy theories to basic snake-oil scams.

TL;DR: at best, this "cure dolly" thing looks like a supplemental source of analogies to help explain grammar. And the creator may even be well-intentioned. But when you couple this limited utility with a blatant lack of research, outright lies, and the smearing of native speakers who have devoted their lives to becoming experts at teaching Japanese, I'm forced to recommend that one avoids this channel and finds better, less noxious sources of knowledge.
