I knew that this would happen eventually, that this would start at some point, I just didn't know how and when exactly. But with this, now I can make a good prediction.
People will think this is nothing the same way people thought in the start of 2010s that the attack on american nerd culture would be nothing.

First, it will be professional industry to be attacked, things like shonen jump and other legally registered companies will concede, this attack will be probably finished by 2025, when pretty much all manga will be pandering to things they never did before. Authors will probably try to react, but they will be given very good rea$$$on to stop doing that.
From 2025 until 2030, doujin will be attacked. Comiket will be destroyed, I don't know what reason they will use to justift it. I assume something similar to covid will make it harder and people will start discussing pretty much abolishing it forever. Internet *might* help some artists for more time, but they will need to paywall their content even harder and even then they will start getting lawsuits until they just give up.
This could probably create a new culture where both hemispheres work together to preserve otaku culture, but don't count on it.

Also, this is not just some "leftwing attack" like some would think. This attack is actually something of the interest of ALL parties, as it always have been since the 90s.
Progressives want otaku culture dead, because it threaten their values and their "Immanentize the eschaton" project.
Conservatives want otaku culture dead, because they think otaku is degenerate.
Authoritarians want otaku culture dead, because it doesn't give them more power.
Companies want otaku culture dead, because it doesn't earn them money enough.
NOBODY is at your side.
And otaku are too weak of a minority to be actually resistant. You're all a bunch of fat weirdoes that can't probably even manage a punch, imagine change the global tendencies.

Enjoy it while it lasts. If you have any emotional dependency on otaku production, start looking for something else, I don't know, religion, philosophy, science, anything that is capable of feeling the void, cause you, who is emotionally weak, WILL become suicidal.

Otaku culture is already in heavy decline so it might as well be dead. All the new blood is a bunch of ironic weebs with social justice tendencies. The media itself hasn't shit the bucket yet but the fanbase/community around it is abysmal. It has nothing to do with the otaku culture I grew up during the 2000's and early 2010's. Everything was full of warmth these days, if you go to /a/ today it's full of k-pop general tier flame wars and the same goes for idol generals here. There's barely anything left from the times when wholesome autists ruled. I'm happy that I atleast got to see it. What matters is whether the japanese will kneel to western tyranny. I frankly have no idea how much influence lgbt and related movements have among the Japanese youth but in my opinion this is what will determine the future. It's entirely based on whether the main fortress can be conquered, the western community has been compromised long ago and will only act as a weapon when the opportunity arises. The jap otaku industry should have never conducted business overseas. Just let anyone who cares learn japanese, it would filter many new comes meaning I would never get into it in the first place but better safe than sorry.

The chances are slim. Things will change on the outside, but I'm convinced that Japan's national essence will prevail. Can't just erase several centuries of isolation. The fortress won't fall but some walls will.
Japan is not China or North Korea. Japan's cultural independence is primarily safeguarded by a strong cultural bloc, traditions and education, and not by the government, whereas Asian communist dictatorships protect their native culture but also encourage it and strongly censor negative outside influences through a large state apparatus solely dedicated to this task. Had Japan not been defeated in 1945, it would probably be this way today, but we can only suppose, and this isn't the right place for such things anyway.

It was clear that anime, manga and otaku stuff in general will be under fire from the moment official anime streaming picked up steam and when the Tokyo Olympics were confirmed. The fact that big tech and other corporations are stronger than entire nations now and the fact that smartphones gave the ability for every retard (from a conservative christian soccer mom to some confused edgy tankie) to post and spread their opinion online to the world only added fuel to the fire.
Best (and only thing) concerned weebs and otaku can do is start hoarding in case they ever start wiping Jap shit from the internet for some reason while having some shit excuse.
It's no secret that otaku and western weebs have always been viewed as outcasts or degenerates but in the past few years a weird mix of increased hatred towards those groups and hobbies from a sociocultural standpoint and increased corporate backing of those hobbies has created an uncertain future for Japanese media. All I can say is sit back, enjoy the ride, hope that something doesn't happen to Comiket and that the 2020s won't be to anime, manga, LNs, VNs etc what the 2010s were to western video games and western video game audiences.
It was inevitable but it's not like otaku are the only ones getting oppressed and cucked in this dystopia
