I just really like his art style. The expressions he draws, the way he shades, the dynamism of some of his works, I just absolutely love it. The only issue is that on the best of days I find his fetish unnerving, and because of how much of his work is devoted to it it's difficult to just ignore.

I don't get the appeal of his style at all. Its so uncute, regardless of how many whacky expressions he can draw. The proportions on many of his Touhous are royally fucked often making them look 10 feet tall because he draws tiny heads and bizarre alien bodies. The way he draws hair is just plain fucking ugly. And so many of his character designs are just plain bad except for a couple characters like wriggle and kaguya. He knows how to color reasonably well, but never does, and just puts minimal effort into most drawings favoring quantity over quality.

I've found that his ballbusting fetish to be mostly an acquired taste, and one that you have to go through very obtuse hoops to understand

Firstly, there's the aspect of an angry woman, it's easy to understand why some men like that
Second, there's the aspect of that woman touching a very delicate part of your body, again, easy to understand

his art is top tier, has a excellent level of draftsmanship, face, hair, clothes and body can give a three-dimensional sense just with lines, unique and appealing art-style, I personally don't like the way he renders his works but he's pretty good at it too, and although I think his best period is over and his current works are not to my liking, I think he is one of the best artists that touhou had, there are no artists like him in the community nowadays

Not into the fetishy stuff but I enjoy his regular looking art. Sometimes he'll really mess up the proportions on a character like making the head way too small, but in all honesty everything else is pretty nice. I like the way he does lineart/coloring (when he occasionally does) and I think the facial expressions he draws are fun and distinct. I also feel like he really gives each touhou a specific personality with the subtle character design choices.

(also this is a bit of a personal preference but something about extremely oversized breasts just looks very silly and unenjoyable)

"Do"? Exactly what I said, which is nothing unusual. Sometimes artists flip for whatever reason and delete a massive portion of, if not all of their art. Sarin did so in 2020. Some of his work still exists but his twitter account is deleted and his booth store page is shut down. Extremely rarely an artist will give a reason. The usual reasons are depression, "harassment", stress, personal life issues, a break with whatever fandom community they were drawing for, or a move to a pro career (usually as a mangaka) prompting them to delete their portfolio for some fucking reason.

Sarin's pixiv is still up, though it is missing stuff now, and his fanbox is up too although he hasn't done anything with it in a year. This and his other actions lead me to believe it is likely his reason for fucking off is some personal/emotional one. Probably couldn't handle the internet or whatever.
