They are mischiveous, and are prone to pulling pranks. Not to mention that when there is an incident that affects nature it makes them go berserk.

Well, why provoke fairies then? They can be powered up and they're basically immortal with no fear of death as a side effect. They're like Mokou and Kaguya, but perfect. Not only that but Fairies are inaccessible in most circumstances. They could literally pull off guerilla warfare without a hitch.

What's the first thing you'd do if you encountered a fairy, that isn't sexual or excessively violent.

Actually befriend them. I would be known as the weirdo who is friendly with fairies.

Annoying, weak, thieves, constantly pull pranks, somehow both cowardly and foolhardy, never learn from anything and mostly immortal (so long as the thing they represent exists).

They have all the qualities to make regular people hate them and none of the guilt that would come with punishing them, it doesn't matter if a fairy dies they'll just come back tomorrow none-the-wiser.

>it doesn't matter if a fairy dies they'll just come back tomorrow none-the-wiser.
This guy summed it up pretty well.
Don't forget they're immature as all hell, very childish.
Think of a pest infestation you just can't get rid of, say rats or fleas.
Now imagine they can talk and interact with you and even if you kill them they'll just be back the next day. If a fairy wanted to they could just follow you around until you die or they get bored.

Do you want a child following you around in your old age who just fucks your day up constantly when you can barely keep up?

I'm just playing devils advocate here. Sure fairies are great, when they behave.
Take note that the maids at the mansion have a boss and she does bite.

They literally come and go as they please, and they're not even good at what they do.

Having a fairy companion doesn't sound all that bad. They wouldn't be a total shit head after some time passes.
