New Sengoku Rance thread.

Celebrating the times when you have twice as many troops in prison as you have in the field.

That only happened in my first game. Every subsequent one I started with 15 or more commanders.

Anyway. Here's where I'm at in my point whore 5-star run.

Mostly what I'm concerned about is beating Masamune. I know it's possible to beat him without the eyedrops, and I'd rather save his troops for the endgame since youkai are easier than the Shimazu troops (and the brothers are quick clears), but that may require more time leveling than is worth it. Getting the eyedrops requires recruiting all his bitches (and Kazemaru), most of which I don't want (can't get End Game Bonus).

Anybody else that's done 5-star runs got any insight?

If you do not want to capturethe girls, do 2 easy dungeons, then the one that gives you an extra level (cannot remember which). Aka, about a turn in overall. Give Rance an affection Level up couple of times With items and the Sat bonus of affection, he should get 6 levels till Masamune . You should have about 6-7 Happy Pukkuru. Give them to Rance. With Sill, you will only need some luck to beat Masamune.

Anyway, Masamune should be a cinch, almost easier than Inukai. I think level 56 or so should be fine? Though I just checked and my Rance from my point run is at 59, and I remember killing Ogres in Shikoku a couple times just to be safe. You're right that recruiting the girls would be a huge waste of time and resources.

Gumo Danjou is probably not as bad as you're afraid, but remember that he needs to die in a non-event battle, which can sometimes be difficult with all the permitting you should be doing.

I don't know about you, but I find the Shimazu brothers to be annoying clears, and just used them for Pokkuro. If you have even one generic at hate level you might as well raise them all from hate level, because with SAT affection +3 abuse, if they started on normal they'll get around to Love 7/7 and reappear to clog up your communicate list anyway.

Rance at level 59 cannot kill Masamune if he does a normal attack and a Rance attack (2 HP remain or something).
You need Rance AND Sill in mid-50s and a little luck to get 3 attacks properly in-between eyedrops.
Or get Rance to 60.

I'd say neither, but if you're set between those two, go with Kenshin. Senhime works great with the protection paper to offset her low Guard percentage from All-Guard. Kenshin also just doesn't have very far to go to max out, so you don't gain much.

I'd say use it on Katsuie (needs the speed upgrades badly) or Kazemaru to make him into your top warrior. Alternatively, if you're going to clear one of the Kawanoe siblings, put it on Ryouma for now and then you'll get it back when he/she joins their army and it'll save you some turns/affection items.

Hii I promised to leave feedback on the super deluxe <B><a href=http://dealzer.com>hydroponics</a></B> system I bought from Dealzer.com. Well, here it is. I bought the grow box on September 1st. By the time it arrived, I had all my plans ready as far as the plants I have here to grow with. To unpack it (it came fully assembled) and plug it in - its fully automated - and to set my initial plants up, it took me about 30 minutes. I bought this with a Co2 system as well. Incredibly this box is not only growing my plants at a rate of 1 inch per day, but by the time my first harvest came in, the younger plants were tall enough to move to the flowering chamber. This is pretty good and my first experience with a proper hydroponics system.

Well, lets see.... I can't really find a single problem with this box, except maybe that it takes 2 people to move it around the apartment. But other than that, I haven't seen a grow box looking this good before. I have made a few myself and bought from local dealers, but this is the best of the best. Everything from the clone chamber to the size is very well done. The customer service is very easy to deal with and very friendly. The system also comes with lock and key for security and came fully concealed.

Anyhow, if you wanted a review, you got one. I give this company a 9.5 out of 10 rating.

Why would you do that? Whirlwind shot is an amazing ability. It has a better chance of success than even Gekkou at Assassinate 1, and can be used multiple times. Give her the Working Bee and she becomes an army crusher.

Just for a a few points before I finished a route, I fired her after getting her archers, fucking her, and have her wait for a kid.

Defend for like 10~ turns, and focus on killing off their commanders and depleting their troops.

Eventually, you'll bleed them dry and you shouldn't have too much trouble taking them.

Only problem is castle battles though, as the troops you face are fixed, so assemble your strongest team for those.

Other than that, you are doing alright. In fact, better than most other's First Games (and definitely far better than my craptastic one).

Reload back before the auto-conquest a good 5-7 turns and abuse battle permits to conquer One-Eye. They have 5 very good units (4 are 45/50, 1 60/70 with combat stats mixed, 4 have self-heal and none come with less than 4 actions) that can be extremely helpful against Xavier, and you can unlock their house bonus for future runs. Heck, if you manage to pull off 35 points or so, get them, battle permits and 3rd war fan to make whatever you do next extremely easy.

1) Start at 1 star run

2) Go for Ran route

3) Pick Elina as your bonus (not much else you can get with just 5 points)

4) Load up on units that have average of 4.5 or better in combat stats and no lower than high 30s for their level cap. Best if they're generic females that don't have a passive but take what you can get.

5) Blitz through the Ran storyline until you can enter Sekimei's tomb.

6) Start character clearing everyone + adding on end-game points + visit the carnival as it arrives

7) Get the 30k troops objective for 10 points. Also consider going for the Defeat Youkai King objective but only if you have 5 battle permit users (you can make a net gain of 6 points if you have this many permit users). If you don't focus on character clears/end-game points/carnivals.

8) If you need levels, focus on Rance first (raises Sill's level as well) by using those Happy Pokuru things (release 5 prisoners at a single time) or give him the +2 levels for his affection bonus every time he gets it. You can cut back on Rance when he gets to either mid-50s or low 60s (depending on whether or not you want to do Defeat Youkai King and not bother with learning his weakness).

9) Call for reinforcements, Rance Attack, and +3 Affection points to all commanders should be the only SAT bonuses you take.

Demon transformation side-effect SHOULD be getting a higher level cap, but Kentarou is pretty high already (just by lv 99 in gameplay terms). And 60 is not ridiculous, the powerful mortals are at that level (though it's also their cap)

Level caps can raise depending on circumstances (upper class gods/devils wanting to cause chaos could increase both someone's level and cap, Rance fucking women raises their cap by one, becoming a demon, etc.)

Just give him a few centuries and he'd probably be one of the mid-level demons, unless Miki can increase levels beyond what just becoming a demon can do.

Just take it easy and try to be aggressive.
Your first run should be more about getting the hang of combat and how to use your actions/gold/items efficiently rather than chasing characters.
You'll regret it if you end up at turn 100 outnumbered by the demon army in such a huge way that finishing the game out takes forever. You'll want to replay multiple times, that's when you chase characters.

If you're going to grab generics, the best would be females with 4 or more actions that have no worse than a 4 in any stat and don't have a passive skill.

For unique commanders, Ranmaru and Shibata should always be paired with each other (made better if you clear Ranmaru as they gain an attack+defense boost); Natori (Miko Storm 2), Takuga house (clear either of the Kawanoe siblings if you need room for more commanders), Mouri house, Souun (only person who can kill Gigai without sacrificing someone first to gain the plan to beat Gigai), One-Eye (if you can. Probably won't get a chance until late game since you'll need permits for easy captures. Just ignore the Demon Army)

Also, to get books, fight a lot of battles(even unessecary defending or spreading forces as much as possible), do the levies, or go to dungeons with more than 7-8 floors and DO NOT FINISH THE LAST FLOOR. That way you can revisit them(each time you start one floor higher).

You will learn eventually that the Youkai Namatane cursed him and it's at Kazusa2000.
A purple event will appear, that leads to a commander battle.
Beat them up, make Ryouma a girl or a guy.
(S)he is tied to a few character clears and can have even be absorbed in other armies, so handle her/him with care.
