I thought that it would be annoying, but I decided to give it a try and ended up liking it. I normally only have one instance of a program open at a time so it doesn't slow me down. When I do have more than one window of the same thing open, I don't mind mousing over the icon for half a second to have my selections pop up. It also saves space.

What I love about having it that way is that your entire taskbar can now be used for your quicklaunch programs. I always have a crapton of programs open, so the programs with multiple windows would be combined anyway in older versions of Windows.
