Nipbros, is it possible to learn Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana without using Anki, language programs, apps, and any of that tech/guide stuff in general? I'm just a total retard with this, I fucking hate whenever I'm reading a long guide and near its end it advertises "install this program!", my dream is to be able to read raw manga and novels, and perhaps even translate them in the future, so I'm planning to focus all of my time and effort to learn how to read, write, and then (much later) translate Japanese texts, so I'll treat speaking the language in person as something secondary to learn, but I'm not sure if this will be beneficial or have the opposite effect, I've already learned basic conversations and speaking it is much easier than I thought, but reading and writing not so much.

I'd appreciate if there are any good ways to learn such a thing without having to install random shit, I don't care if this method is harder or slower because I know that learning depends on me and that it takes years to fully master it, so I'll dedicate this decade to learn it, I'm also a poorfag so I can't buy physical books for the moment, I'd like to find public domain books on somewhere Archive.org and proper YouTube tutorials, but I'm not sure if that's a viable option or if there's anything worth in these sites.

If you are asking about Japanese, probably about 2 years ago. I've studied many other things though over the years, and other languages. As someone else mentioned, the desire and discipline to continue after you have done it for a year or two is probably a bigger determinant than any memory issues. It takes less work to be a beginner to low intermediate than it does to actually go beyond that and become fluent, I think. I found that I would get distracted and find something new and interesting and go off in another direction more often than not.
