Just guessing, but there are things in the game they won't be able to translate unless nitro's programmers lend a hand, because there's literally no interface for displaying text for some things. Shit like the television playing in the background they could just ignore because nothing vital is ever told there, but the euphoria sequence intro/outros are pretty fucking major and are currently voice-only. So if nitro is not in any rush to put someone on the job they are stuck. There's also another display thing that might not be easy to make work with translated text, but 100% mandatory for the sake of the story.

Translating things like the trannyshit in Rei's route could be tricky, but not tricky enough to warrant a half year long delay if they really were planning to get it out in february.

Sure, the setting is well thought out and the guys are all pretty cute. I had it on my backlog forever because I assumed it was one of those games where the cover guy is forced on you but that wasn't the case at all. If you decide to play it I'd recommend the PSP version, it has an extra route and some new scenes.

Played this (ヘクソカズラ), recently, it's probably one of the strangest otome games I've ever come across. Mostly supernatural SoL without much romance, set in a burakumin village. It's a free doujin game but really long considering. No CGs though.
The story behind making it which I only read after playing is kind of insane, the dev says she spent years researching for it and that she originally wrote it planning to kill herself after it's release, so she could be like a 'modern day Yukio Mishima' (She obviously decided not to, she apparently found making games so fun she forgot about the ex-girlfriend she was depressed about in the first place).
The game itself is pretty flawed, felt sort of meandering I guess, and it's also supposed to have a sequel so most of the supernatural/lore related parts are left unresolved but I'd still recommend it if you like weird doujin games.
