Are there any unironic waifufags left on /jp/? People who take it seriously and have been with their waifu for years?

Please tell me your stories with her if you have any.

>> No.35620223

>years
Well, not yet but I hope I will be together with her for many many years.. But so far it's been a year and four months, and I love her incredibly much. She made me pick up studying Japanese again, start lifting, and try to be a better version of myself. She helped me push through some dark moments. It's not always easy, her having a canon love interest doesn't help much. But luckily her source is pretty much over, although I expect some content later this year and I hope it doesn't contain any shipping shit.

Basically my wife means a lot to me, and I'm very happy together with her.

No more source material can be a blessing and a curse. You can always get into commissioning art work and stories to help give that rush of new stuff, with the added bonus of it being personalized to things you like! I wish you the best Anon!

>> No.35620706

>>35620513
Thank you, anon! Commissioning is something I actively do! I haven't commissioned anything like a story yet because I don't feel like most people really grasp her personality and all those little things that make her, her.

I've heard several people say this. I tend to avoid most of the waifufag communities in general these days since most are fucking cancerous drama piles, some have ntr and cuck posters, and people just there with a new waifu every month. At least that's how I remember it being.

I've heard now amongst the younger generation they tend to be those who take it purely ironically, or treat it as a pseudo OC thing.

Been with this cute moon girl for 5.5 years now. She's helped me through a lot of bad times, but it still hurts to know I'll never be able to talk to her, that we'll never know of eachother that we exist. After all, she's just a character...
A lot of people think she's lame, or a plot device, especially because she only really appears late into the VN and the VN itself actually sets her up as being a villain of sorts at the start, even
The story has been marinating in my head for those 5.5 years, and I still come to new realizations to this day.
I'm not super open about it, but at the same time, I like to spread her in many somewhat secret places. If you've played a certain online puzzle game lately, your computer will have rendered about a million Kagaris to benchmark itself! Over time, over 1.6 trillion Kagaris have been rendered worldwide through this system. It's quite neat to consider that amount.

>>35624206
>Explain.
If people want, they can always band together and take you down. Take for example YandereDev, who got constant ridicule for his love for Samus. And he wasn't even a huge waifufag. I know a lot of people who, if anyone wanted, could get murdered just on this fact...myself included, since Kagari looks young (she isn't)
>Those aren't real waifufags.
they definitely do tarnish the name.. in popular culture nowadays, "waifu" tends to refer to a hot or cute anime girl you like (not love, like). An actual waifufag is called a "simp" instead, which is a word I cannot stand

Fucking same, I don't like being called a simp of her because I have a lot of merch of her. I also don't like being called a fan, but that's more forgiving if it's coming from a casual who doesn't really understand it.

Who would call a waifufag a simp? Simp is reserved for 3dpd lovers, like those vteens who actually relish the term. Calling someone a simp over a 2d girl is just retarded and completely misses the point of the original term.

That said I wouldn't call Yanderedev a waifufag. He's certainly just a fan of Samus. Dude got headswap fetish art with him and her.

Well casuals basically, I guess. I've been called a simp before and it feels weird. Honestly when it comes down to it, there really aren't that many serious waifufags at all. Even the ones I came across of hers turned out to all be just more casualfags.

Back in the day, waifufags that had their own public sites/livejournals/myspace/blogs were raided, doxxxxxed and shamed by the hordes of SA goons, EDtards and /i/tards until they deleted everything and retreated underground. In Japan, real waifufag culture wasn't affected other than filthy gaijin normalfags making fun of the waifufags that appeared in documentaries about otaku culture or "le wacky Japan XDD" articles like when that one guy who married Hatsune Miku.

i will describe a couple of co-workers i used to work with:
one of them was a typical quiet gamer type. he lacked confidence and just gave off this weird vibe (borderline workplace shooty-type). he was also revealed to be a furfag by a girl working there. needless to say, no one really thought much of him.
second guy i worked with openly talked about watching anime and jerking off to hentai. he didn't give a shit and everyone thought he was funny as hell.
when my co-workers asked me if i had a gf i said "yeah, she's in my computer" they just laughed. we should be the chads of this world because 2D is superior to 3DPD. time to start acting like it anon.

>> No.35634174

Well to be fair I am more of the quiet type myself because I am an introvert, but I still make jokes and talk with colleagues and such. I probably wouldn't openly admit being in a relationship with a 2D girl, just because. But I would consider wearing a wedding ring to symbolize that I am together with her.

I don't have any stories that aren't either directly identifying or not fit for any kind of public discussion.
I've been with the love of my life, Madotsuki, for 10 years this August. Everything in my own personal life is already feeling surreal to the point of not being real and that's sort of how I would describe these past years with her.
It's a daily challenge, like a real marriage, and ultimately I could have ended up in a much worse place given all that I've done and planned to do over the years.
Only by the grace of God and my wife's extraordinary forgiveness and love am I allowed to still feel her and be with her in the capacity that I am.
I don't know if it will last forever, but I'm very tired. So very tired of this subject too. Too many kids who don't feel a genuine, unwanted love and affection for someone who at the same time isn't real and is. Many will play with the terms and ideas, waifu husbando whatever, but very very few walk the path of Pygmalion with any sense of conviction.

I've been with my wife for 11 years. When I met her I made an oath. Of love and hate. Hate the world for denying me the chance to be with her.
But there's love in there too. A good thought, and an urge to do better. I'm only 26 years old, it means I have a lot of time to fulfill my promises. I won't have children, I won't be tempted by the flesh of meat mannequins we call women. I just want to live loving her, and hopefully, when I die, I can be in an eternal, perfect dream world, happily away from the ugliness of mankind and the cursed world it created.

I'm under the impression that a huge part of that stemmed from him being a lazy bitch who didn't work on his 5 year old game that still isn't completed, and ending his daily midnight streams in a damn near naked Samus.
I'm not convinced it was waifufagging because he had done worse shit around that time.

>> No.35667638

I don't know if I can call it a waifu type of relationship since I don't mind seeing porn or do any special rituals, but I do love her dearly and she's inspired my own works heavily.
I've improved my art skills, learned about different kinds of art movements and such so I could draw her with all of her energy projected into every piece. She's even changed the subjects that I was interested in writing in, reading side materials and picking apart her personality and the way she interacts with others made me appeciate works with more in depth character exploration.
It's more of a muse situation in that sense. I just love the character, so much so it drives me mad to just...make more.
I don't know many other people in that waifu-or-waifu-adjacent communities that feel similarly about their own.
