Can we have a serious discussion about Balamb Garden?

I'm playing to do a mixtape on it, here's my remix of Balamb Garden.

I enjoyed FFVIII but I acknowledge that the Junction system was stupid and broken.

If anyone disagrees, let it be known I beat Omega Weapon at level 13.
With only 10 Holy Wars.

Anyway my favorite track is Find Your Way (delicious mysterious theme), but I love Eyes On Me too.

I loved the background to the story (but I do for, like, all the FFs really), especially that the moon was a world of monsters.

Balamb Garden and Garden's in general make absolutely no sense in a world that has standing armies.

Although mercenary guilds worked in the past, they don't work in a world where aerial warfare is possible.

They would make enemies out of EVERY nation in the world, because they're simply for hire and will work for anybody who pays them. The end result it, everybody hates them.

It's NOT the same as Blackwater, which has a single loyalty to the United States or mercenary armies in Africa, who fight against usually under funded nations and militaries.

The truth is, Balamb would have been bombed LONG ago.

FF6 is still my personal favorite since Uematsu did a 15 minute long final battle theme, a 12 minute long mini opera, and a 20 minute long ending theme. But the strangest things were how the songs were actually good.

I don't know what sort of crazy composer crack he was on during the production of FF6, but he never did insane music like that ever again.
