All I'm saying is that if something looks like a fucking error, it probably is an error. Theories based on that should have some reasoning to them. You'd have to explain why it's important that it says 21 instead of 12 on a 1 second shot. So far all we got out of this overcomplicated shit is "oh that's Eua fucking things up", but then any hint regarding Satoko's status as a culprit has much more detail than just a random thing. You have a lead or something to chew on when you point out Satoko's witch eyes in the reflection, because that is very clearly done and animated on purpose, but changing how some books look here or some furniture looks there doesn't mean much. Someone pointed out the scene where K1 helps Rena get the Kenta-kun doll out, they skipped the scene where she looks down to check on the statue, but that's it. There's no particular change there. You could even explain away the shot where Rika isn't where she was at the end of ep1 in Gou with something as simple as "she just left by the time they were finished talking".

To me it really just looks like something they would have done with the original and couldn't really "fix" on the BD release. it probably proportionally looked weird to them from that camera angle, considering the floor and the ceiling, and then they just decided to fix the whole background. If Rosa fell off a cliff and survived on the same moment that Ushiromiya Beatrice died, that would also be a solid clue, even moreso if she had scars from the incident. There are no clues presented to Yasu's existence otherwise, and it can't be solved with Shannon=Kanon=Beatrice alone. Also Battler's sin not being between Battler and Beatrice throws a wrench in any solution involving the human Beatrice of Episode 2.

This means that if Kanon has escaped the red truth's definition of death, he must now be someone that Battler knows and was alongside him at the time.
3rd game, 1st twilight. The closed room loop means that one of the corpses caused the deaths of the others. As the first room is entered by the others without a key, it then allows an exit just as easily for the culprit, who can then become the end of the loop. This provides some degree of suspicion on Shannon and Kanon, the two ends of the loop, and that one may have played dead.
3rd game, 9th twilight. The three confirmed alive cannot have caused Nanjo's death. As there cannot be another person on the island that Battler is unaware of, one must now suspect a method of circumventing death declared by red truth, as the murder was a direct homicide. As Kanon speaks to Jessica afterwards, you can assume that method is linked to him. It isn't solvable, because the solution contains big flaws that an alternative solution does not have. If you consider the Shkanon theory, notice the contradiction, and then dismiss it, you will get the wrong solution. Think back to the cheese problem in EP6. Battler's solution was better, but it was not the one in the rulebook. In this sense, the problem was unfair because you can only get to the solution by making an error in your reasoning. A math problem where you need to make a mistake to get it right is a bad math problem.

If it's impossible to figure out with confidence who the culprit is before the denoument, the mystery is unfair. I completely disagree. Take any good classic mystery for example. Many theories are proposed, and they are dismissed over the cours of the novel. There is only one really good theory that is possible, and it is only presented as the solution at the end.
Or take the Ellery Queen novels in particulat. They often present a fake solution near the end, but if you are perceptive enough you can spot a contradiction and work out that there is a second, better explanation. And the second explanation often turns out to be the true solution.

If you are pointing towards the fact that the golden butterfly scenes support Shkanon, I can do the same for Rosatrice. George was prepared to murder everyone in the fourth game. Beatrice shows up in Maria's apartment. Rosa's behaviour towards Battler. George and Rosa regularly visit Rokkenjima. Shannon's tattoo is on the wrong leg. Rosa doesn't seem to care about her company, suggesting a motive besides gold. These are just some things off the top of my head.
None of these points are definitive, and I grant that they can all be dismissed by the Shkanon theory, but they show how easy it's to twist facts that are not established in red to satisfactorily fit any given theory.

As the Bernposter from /qst/, it kind of hurts to read this. I realize that my latest two mysteries were kind of bad. The one with Lion was too long and the solution was kind of obvious. The latest one was also too easy. I actually rushed that one, because I felt obligated to keep the thread alive, since no one else was hosting any mysteries. Do you mind telling me the reason why you're getting fed up with purple mysteries? Do you think they became worse in quality? Or that the novelty has simply worn off and they're not fun anymore? I have fun making them, but if others aren't having fun participating in them, then I don't really want to flood the /qst/ thread with my bad fanfic mysteries.

Though the evidence could be argued as invalid either way. Maybe Natsuhi told a servant to take care of the baby and never changed its diaper (checked their gender) herself, she just assumed it was male because she was told so and/or he was going to be the next head. Or maybe Genji though Kinzo would commit the sin with an androgynous boy that looked like Beatrice.

I personally enjoy reading the stories of the mysteries, although I don't really take part in them. My issue with your latest ones is as you say; they're rather easy and obvious. I appreciate some of the interesting ideas you've come up with, such as Kinzo outright declaring he was a culprit using purple, but as games they are remarkably simple to figure out. The games that are more difficult tend to lend to more interesting stories as well, but they're not overly reliant upon that though. George working with Sayo was great, as was the idea of Battler wandering around covered in the blood of his family. Such shock value is an important part of purple mysteries, or so I think anyway, and so the more obvious ones tend to be rather boring because they're rather normal, in a way. Rosa and Eva working together is basically just expanding upon EP3, and so there's not much to it, and Genji killing everyone on behalf of Kinzo means the story is the main being behind it due to Genji's (relatively) boring character, and the climax simply being Lion finding out their backstory was kinda uninteresting.
In summary, I think the key component is unpredictability. If you can bring that back, I think those mysteries will prosper once again, or at least they will from my perspective.

That's because she was raised as female as thinks of herself as one. That doesn't mean anything when it comes to their real sex.

Also, Kanon's existence AND characterization makes no sense if he's not a male eunuch. The fact that he's the only male persona of Yasu only makes it more obvious that the others are just Yasu coping and refusing to accept the truth.

I still enjoyed solving the last two mysteries and I don't really think the settings or plots were bad, however I think the solution might be a bit too obvious which leads to people getting bored with them.
You might be writing yourself into the corner by making sure there is only 1 possible solution and hinting at it so much.
