Would anyone happen to have a download for Mikwave by 盛るP? It's pretty much unfindable online.

Sanso Nakamura is about as denpa as Nyarons or Yunomi, i.e. not very. There isn't any of the hyperness of denpa music in it. Still nice, though.

On the other hand, Oomori Seiko, Mariko Goto, and a lot of the alt-idol scene have some of that denpa spirit in them, as much as it pains me to it.

Yes, at least Bachikaburi had a bit of a following. But they are closer to 遠藤ミチロウ-esque punk.

Posting more Kidorikko, might elaborate more on my thoughts on 80's proto-denpa and what influenced certain styles later.

What about 90s proto-denpa? Kodocha's Ultra Relax and Di Gi Charat's Party Night come to mind though for different reasons for each of them.

>> No.35365339

>>35364993
Well, by that time it had by and large already fused with aniota culture, in my opinion.

It is interesting that you mention Ultra Relax though because 篠原ともえ kinda is a mid-90's example of the legacy of new wave craziness from the 80's. Her songs were produced by Denki Groove, who were formerly 人生(Zin-Say!) on Nagom Records (also in the compilation above).

in Toromi's album called "toropixel" there is a song called "ね こ ぷ ・ ぷ ・ ぷ (Toromi. Ver)"
https://youtu.be/f4UDLA-T3Mw
that song has an original version which exists since before Toropixel born in the podcast "今夜 も カ ツ カ レ ー" in the that Toromi participated with Kaihara Reina
http://shippo.jp/radio/curry/curry063.shtml
there were even concerts and videos in which Toromi and Reina sang the song with ね こ 社長
https://youtu.be/xbsGlWu4MMs
https://youtu.be/yw69AO0iLW8
Over time the original version of ね こ ぷ ・ ぷ ・ ぷ was lost, in 2012 an album called "ね こ の し っ ぽ Party" went on sale, which is a CD that brought together all the songs from the different podcasts of the company, the which is for its 15th anniversary. I have the CD, so I have decided to share them with you denpa thread, not only for ね こ ぷ ・ ぷ ・ ぷ, if you wish you can listen to all the songs of the album

I recently came to learn that Nagom Record, as an indie label, was a source of inspiration for the largest doujin music circle of the 1990s, Troubadour Record. Seeing latter was established by Namco composers, it's likely the former's name served as a parody of its own (compare ナムコ and ナゴム). The relevance is in Troubadour Record being the parent circle of band Manikyua-Dan, known for their quirky songs throughout the same period.

>>35364851
>>35364993
There are all sorts of songs from the period, more or less fitting in theme and performance, but it's hard to gauge their actual influence on the conception of "moe songs" and "denpa songs" somewhere between 1999-2003. That, unless they've been directly noted by some early dedicated website - and from my experience surfing through them in Wayback Machine, regular idol pop and indies weren't really registered there. Whether they should be called something like "proto-denpa" is up to the individual, as was back then - people simply shared what gave the same rough feeling. But going by music alone isn't enough to understand what made people want to give a name to this kind of music in the first place. Until a better historical and cultural link is formed, I'll share a couple more songs from the period, each holding, in my opinion, a fragment of the things to come later on.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdXYLCyTXi0 (1996)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7n-VGbs5Pg (1997)

Some of them may superficially sound a far cry from "proto-denpa", but I think they help provide a better understanding of the framework of "moe songs" and "denpa songs", by the virtue of their historical and cultural association or the musical techniques employed within them.

Certainly. It was also around this time that 大槻ケンヂs bands like 空手バカボン and later 筋肉少女帯 started to get wider recognition in otaku circles. As has been discussed in earlier threads, Ohtsuki Kenji was one of the first to make wide use of "denpa" characters in lyrics and short stories, inspired by real contemporary incidents with deranged otaku.

I also want you to expand on his recognition in otaku circles, something I've never really heard about the artist and band.
