-The final set of Friend Fleets will be added this weekend. The event is schedules to end around a week after that.
-The Spring 2021 Event, "Clash! Battle of Lunga Point", is underway. It is a medium-scale event with 3 maps in the Main Operation and 2 in the Extra Operation.
-Friendly Fleets are available in E-1, E-4, and E-5.
-Takanami Kai-II has been implemented. It requires level 79, 1 BP, and 1 AR.
-The new ships in the MO are Matsu-class destroyer Momo (E-1 reward), Japanese submarine I-203 (E-2 drop), Yuugumo-class destroyer Makinami (E-3 drop), and the American Heavy Cruiser Northampton (E-3 reward). The new ships in the EO are Yuugumo-class destroyer Suzunami (E-4 drop), the Ice Breaker Souya (E-5 drop), and the American Brooklyn-class light cruiser USS Honolulu (E-5 reward).
-The new land-based planes added in the EO are the M21 Zero (Tainan Air Group), the M32 Zero (Tainan Air Group), and the M22 Zero (251 Air Group).
-There is now a new submarine special attack. It requires a submarine supply item, echelon/line abreast formation, and a Sub Tender as flagship with 2 subs in the No.2 and No.3 slots.
-The April ranking rewards have been distributed. The new equipment is the SBD-5 dive bomber. It will be available through other means this summer.
-As of the Feb 28, 2020 maintenance, due to the ongoing DDoS attacks, measures have been taken that requires players from certain countries to use a Japanese IP address to connect to the Login servers. After getting to the start screen it's possible to disconnect from the VPN and continue playing without it. If you still encounter connection issues try clearing your cache and changing your time zone to JST. These countermeasures are temporary as of right now. EN EO now bypasses the block. Another possible workaround is using https://github.com/Tibowl/KCCacheProxy

Part 2 boss on LD has 350 armor & no debuffs. It can look & feel easy when everything finally comes together, but you had better have good equips & the right ships. Most of your resource expenditure will be from part 2 & unlocking part 3. Part 3 meanwhile is a slog, in that you often do no damage to the boss during chipping. Torpedo sqn command facility means you reach the boss most of the time, but you'll be grateful for every single point of damage that you do to her. Its saving grace is that resource expenditure is low, since you don't need route support & your fleet's just 6 DD's & a CL.

I can't get the yearly M22 quest to unlock.
On Zekamashi it says I need the 工廠フル稼働！新兵装を開発せよ！quest to unlock that yearly, but can't get that one to appear either. Its requirements are stated to be the first quest that has you upgrade equipment (done that long time ago) and all the "Scrap 12.7cm guns for custom furniture item", which I've done as well.
Am I missing something?

Give Mutsu the 51cm gun from Yamato, and the FuMO from Maya, replace Nagato's 46cm gun with something that isn't very long range, and replace her radar with a seaplane. Mutsu Beam is your most important attack, and fully optimized in parallel battle, it's a guaranteed oneshot vs Ne Kai. Even if you can't quite max it out, it'll still be guaranteed to bring Ne Kai down to red if it doesn't outright kill them. Conversely, Nagato attacks only once during Mutsu Beam and with a much lower multiplier, so optimizing her for that is a lot less useful. Instead, you want her to whittle down bosses or clear fodder with artillery spotting. You also don't want Nagato to have very long range since it can make Mutsu attack later, giving the enemy more chances to hit her or Nagato before they can fire the beam.

If you have repair kits, give Akitsushima two repair facilities in her first two slots so she can repair your guys

Swap Shigure and Yuubari's positions. You want one of your best attackers as flagship to take advantage of the increased cut-in rate, but that's wasted on Yuubari since she has the weakest TCI in your fleet and doesn't even get a damage bonus on this section. She can't even hurt the boss unless she gets a crit or a high roll. Shigure benefits the most from being covered, but if you're feeling a bit lazy, you can have her take turns as flagship with one of your other TCI ships to keep them both sparkled.

Putting a flashlight on the flagship is also a bit of a trap since making the enemy more likely to target your flagship also makes it more likely that an otherwise healthy ship will try to cover them and get damaged before their attack turn.

Take the upgraded torps from Kitakami and put them on Myoukou instead. She's a much more important attacker here.

There's no reason to specifically use Shimakaze if you're just going to make her do ASW instead of attacking. Either set her up for TCI and push through the subs with the power of prayer alone, or replace her with another DD who can carry two slots of ASW and a flashlight. This lets you put night flares on Yuubari instead of Shigure, who can get an extra torp to maximize her damage

If you have the resources, use them here to upgrade the quint torps, the late quad torps, and Mutsu's guns and shells.
