What is the best country to be a NEET in? Like, where can you get the best combination of cheap apartments, easy government grants, etc?

>> No.3517869

Japan.

>> No.3517870

>>3517866
Canada

>> No.3517875

State - Michigan. Thanks to the unemployment rate being more than triple anywhere else. You get all the help you want here (I don't pay for my apartment, literally)

>> No.3517874

>>3517866
The UK I guess, ask the illegal niggers.

>> No.3517892

I've heard that its pretty easy to be a NEET in finland, sweden and other northern european countries.

>> No.3517894

>>3517869
Aren't apartments in Japan really expensive?

>> No.3517898

>>3517894
Yeah, but if you're born and raised there, you should be really likely to be able to leech off your parents. Thats why they have so many hikikomoris: Their cultrue pretty much allows it.

>> No.3517908

It's pretty awesome here in the Netherlands, but my parents actually love me so I don't know if the apartments are cheap.

>> No.3517911

When you find out let me know because I wanna go.

>> No.3517935

So, how you NEETs gain money ? Other than parents.

>> No.3517941

I use my bijstand to help pay rent, so my father doesn't mind too much if I hang around.

>> No.3517947

>>3517898
OP didn't ask "what country would best to be born in if I want to leech off of my parents?"
Japan has almost no welfare, and everything besides internet is expensive.

>> No.3517951

Definitely not Brazil. Not only everyone reports you when you're poor, but everything's expensive and the minimum wage sucks if you ever try to find a job.
Last time I saw a DSi being sold here, it was something around 600 US dollars.

How much is bijstand nowadays?

>> No.3518107

Hurr, /jp/ is the board with the most NEETs percentage-wise, so asking about NEETs is so totally on-topic.

Not. Reported for more of your usual /r9k/ BS.

>> No.3518113

UK. All you have to do is fake depression, and you can live very comfortably due to disability benefits and shit. If you're on disability, you don't even have to leave the house to go and collect it, just gets paid straight into your bank account once a month.

>> No.3518238

Norway reporting in. I don't get why it's supposed to be so easy here, I wouldn't get by if my mother didn't provide for me, and she shouldn't have more problems with that in any other first-world country.

uuh, no.. I could see getting some time off work as a means of rehabilitation after overworking yourself however.

Depends on what country you're surveying. Scandinavian countries usually report moderately high depression rates, usually attributed to stress building up from excessive work.

Just showing a picture probably won't do much, but I think you'd be giving them quite a lot to work with if you're one of the more obsessive 2d lovers. An adult man who treats objects and/or pictures like romantic interests sounds pretty serious.

>> No.3518837

What is the average in the US? I'd hate to work in the US you get like a week or two off. That's fucking insane.

5 weeks is a much better number. That's still only 5 not working out of 52 working.

I think we get around the same in Ireland as Germany.

It depends on the job though, of course. Some jobs won't to see your face that much.

>> No.3518840

>>3518800

There's not really any point getting disability over dole. You might get one or two extra benefits but it's not work faking shit for. Also it kind of cheapens things for the people who really need it. I'm of the opinion that people shouldn't be forced to work anyway, but our society isn't really set up to support that at the moment.

Welfare payments are around £50-60 I believe. In Ireland they're much better, you get around €203 a week, plus rent allowance and other benefits if you can get it. However, the cost of living is insanely high so it still makes it difficult to have hobbies. You wouldn't be buying many animu DVDs on that given they cost €35 or so each here.

>> No.3518841

>>3518837
I live in Canada but I don't think there's a standard in either country. It seems like in Europe it's a government thing like you are given that vacation amount no matter what whereas in North America it depends on the job I think.

>> No.3518846

>>3518841
5 weeks is legal in France.
You have that much right.

>> No.3518888

Bijstand sucks because you have the duty to look for work. Me, I got Wajong, which is WAO for when you're younger than 27, I think (but you can receive it indefinitely, just as long as you "applied" before you became 27). You need to have some illness to be accepted, of course. I'm suffering from OCD and sleeping disorders, and that was enough to get it (and rightfully so, since it means I am not (yet) able to work). If you are afraid to go outside, etc. (i.e. a REAL hikki) don't forget to ask what you are legally entitled to. This only applied to the Netherlands, of course.

>> No.3518900

>>3518888
Dammit this sounds fine if not a little lazy. I'd just move to the Netherlands with family that lives there but Assen was kind of boring.

>> No.3518951

>>3518900
I think most Anons should apply for this. We're not NEETs because we're lazy, usually. That's what we get told and we start to tell ourselves that and feel bad about ourselves not doing anything productive, but if you really start questioning yourself WHY you don't do something, like going out: do you just don't do it because you're lazy, or isn't there some other reason? Aren't you just really afraid to go outside? If that's the case, you shouldn't tell yourself you're being "lazy" when you don't go outside. Because it's not the same for you as it is for normal people. Going outside isn't a big objective to them as it is to you, so it's not fair if you should be held to the same standards as them.

And it's not like I'm unproductive at all times, I don't just watch anime or plays games (actually, haven't done either in months), I have my own little "projects" that I work on and I try to learn stuff that interests me. And I LIKE doing work, especially if it interests me, sitting at home all day just sleeping and doing nothing is fun for a while, but it is definitely not fun to do it for years on end. That's why I'm working on getting better (seeing shrink, etc.) and hope to eventually find work where I'll be able to be productive without being hindered by my problems.

Work is nice, it's nice to be recognized for what you do, instead of just feeling like a leech on everyone.
