Writing in emails saying they weren't going to play it anymore...I hate these people. I really do, and even worse Age gave in to the losers and gave them a patch for it. Well the Muv Luv listed there barely has 100 data. The Muv Luv with 1400 rating is at 92 not 96(still really good though). Probably more accurate since its easy to get inflated at low numbers. You really shouldn't count games with less than 200 data.

Well Umineko definitely isn't as well liked as Higurashi in Japan, not even close.
I do remember that a lot of people complained about episode 2 too when it was released too.

It's not really a question of "better" or "worse" in EGS.
It's a question of whether these games managed to do what they set to do well or not, that's all.
There's a lot of eroge released in Japan every months so nobody has enough time to play them all
Therefore they only play the eroge that fit their taste
Wanko has a good score because the people who played them knew what they were about to get and was pleased by that, that's all.

Same for Jango, if you take it as a parody, and you should, it's awesome.

Umineko is the sort of series that discontented lots of people, especially those who became fans of 07 with Higurashi, that's why the ratings aren't that good.

Extra is nothing more than a "get use to characters" prequel. And unlimited has a manga that follows the story directly(mostly translated too).

And EVEN IF you didn't touch either of these, your not missing all that much. Alternative plays through most of unlimited over again, and he's constantly talking about things that happened in unlimited and how to change them.
