The paint defects on my figurines are very small.
The few on my Shiki are on the back.

My Saber has a little spot on her side, but it's also hard to notice unless you know it's there. Also; it's on her clothing, so unless you're looking for faults in the painting, you'll rather look at the armpits.

My first fig was an old Tora-Musume from Mon-sieur BOME Collection by Kaiyodo. It was lying around in a shop and I just grabbed it for low cash. But it didn't wake my passion for figs yet.

The first fig I willingly ordered for the sake of self-fulfillment was Hisui. After that, it's been a torrent of orders and money dilapidation. Not regretting anything though.

This. Saw it on sale at a con (inb4 LOL CONGOERS ARE FAGS, merchandise is really the only reason why I go to them anyway), and I knew I had to buy it.

It awoke the sleeping monster within me, and since then I have bought the beautiful Kotobukiya Uesugi Kenshin.

PS: Imagine my surprise, though, when I brought Kenshin home and placed her next to Ermin, only to find they had the exact same pose. ;_;

Good Smile kinda fucked up quality control for them, so you can expect all kinds of minor problems. Mine has a very small area with ruined paint (not a problem) and a black dot on her nose (it is small, but jesus chirst, why is it on her face, god damn it). They mostly unnoticeable, but I am a perfectionist and small problems annoy me a lot. '
Also, if you didn't know it yet, this picture is altered and it doesn't look as awesome.
It still is a great figurine and I love to have it. I just hope you aren't overpaying 130+ dollars for it or something.
I got it for the retail price and it is worth it.
