I am following both of them, and to be honest there aren't that much differences. Both are quiet and peaceful threads. /vt/ usual anons are a bit newer, but they also watch the streams, care about the Stars and ignore obvious trolls. Posts could be a bit less stupid sometimes, but overall quality is totally ok and fun to hang out there as well. As long as our presence on /jp/ is fine, majority of anons here won't push for a merge.
The kana filter is just an heritage from the sister thread, and there never was a compelling reason to remove it as there was no issue with it.
To sum up, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I check it every once in a while and post links/clips and art bump, apparently there were people that didnt know this thread existed so it seems to filter slightly. The new people cause some tired conversation loops but thats to be expected. I like that you dont need to bump here nearly as much since its equally slow. No side apart from maybe Astel has much insight into the game at all and what trying to RTA solo dia lobbies involves. The more defensive Astellas happen to be on the winning side by pure chance, because the switch did improve results for that D4 rut.

Well it's shaky but: Owing to his motion sickness and the get up, the somewhat stationary role of a literal archer would suit him. For the same reason, Rider is mostly not suitable despite everything including being a Gunota, though I suppose he could make for a sort of glass cannon Rider. I know most people would want to put him in Berserker immediately at first glance but that's a secondary choice at best; he almost can't drink at all among other things. I simply didn't give much thought to Caster, Assassin or Lancer. There are probably decent cases for most of these except Saber, which feels really unlikely.

I am gonna be insensitive, but not all fans, especially the newest ones, are supposed to know about codes or creating a new twitter account just to follow vtubers, it just seems very unpractical.
Seaweed was autistic for good reasons about official chat rules a few days ago, so if he was following his logic to the end, he should only read official hashtags which are there for a reason.
The guy wasn't using them, so he shouldn't have to think twice before posting something and be free to post whatever he wants, especially when he was venting without being malicious, just sharing his thoughts with others fans.
I believe expecting everyone to mind what they say on their account is rich coming from someone who very probably also checks textboards where opinions are more harsh and unfiltered than on Twitter. And giving too much importance to fans burn you in long term. I just think, if he had just sent his criticisms to his marshmallow box, the chances of it actually being taken more seriously and to heart might’ve been higher (though this is Astel we’re talking about so...) since that’s just generally how it is in the vtuber world, not that that guy probably knows that. Honestly, the thing that dissapoint me the most about this situation, is the fact that, if I'm not mistaken, Astel himself has said that he wants fans to be honest to him and give him criticism, granted that was mostly referring to his singing, but if he and his fans react this way when someone gives some criticism or vents about something in a non-rude manner, then how does he expect to get actual feedback in the things he want to get feedback on?
