Hm, various reasons.
First of all, there's still people who care if I die, so the very act of killing myself will inconvience some people a lot.
Secondly, I think my future is not too grim, I think my life can still be nice at times.
Third, death is permanent, once you kill yourself you can't go back, so I won't kill myself unless I'm absolutely sure I don't want to live ever again.

I have plenty of friends... more than I care for really. I'm perfectly happy being alone. I think some friendship is necessary, but I also believe you can satisfy most of that need online.
