Well on one part Mokou is reckless while Kaguya's power allows her to think and react in speeds ridiculously beyond superhuman.

Also, Eirin, who may be the strongest character in touhou period etc.

The whole Kaguya/Mokou relationship really does seem to be a dividing water in the fanon.

I personally prefer canon where they hate the shit out of each other. The whole fanon idea that every touhou must be adorable and the degradation of their relationship to a simple tsundere-ish romance is really quite pathetic.

The only person who can understand the full weight of Eternity is Kaguya herself, after all. And Mokou would go insane with grief if she had become immortal for nothing and have no purpose for the rest of forever.

So an ill kind of "I hate you but I need you", except they don't acknowledge the latter on a conscious level.

If you've read the canon material, then you'd know that their relationship is tsundere-ish. Cage in Lunatic Runegate: Chapter 4 illustrates Mokou's need for Kaguya. SSiB also shows Mokou with Kaguya at Remilia's "Launch" Party.

I'm inclined to believe that when they first "reunited" they had a true hate for each other and killed each other without mercy, but due to time passing by and the events that go on in Gensokyo, they've lightened up.

Perhaps they both just enjoy the experience of dying. Maybe it's not pleasant, but it has to be a very intense experience. They're something like "adrenaline junkies", since, being immortal, they are probably somewhat bored of normal diversions.
