Getting every limited character is not going to be possible unless you are really lucky or want to spend money. Most ideal strat is to hoard cubes and only roll in limited banners that you really want. Pull rate is pretty low so you are going to get a lot of non-limited characters while going for the rate up.

Every 1-2 weeks. Sometimes they also add more than 1 new character. The most new characters added at once in the jap version were 3. Events tend to hand out either certain characters or those silver character tokens in exchange for some event points.

i had her set as my favorite, kept her in the school most of the last few days, and used her to solo farm. Probably did ~300 runs of misc stages, mostly the Kasen boss fight on hard.
Idunno how much each activity increases affection or if setting her as favorite increases it at all, but thats what i did. Compared to other gachas ive played, the bond levels in this game seem to level extremely fast, so it wont take you long to hit max.

What's the methodology behind summons in this game? I've only ever played one other gacha before (Epic 7) and there you generally hoarded the summon currency for banners featuring characters you wanted. There was even a pity system where you could guarantee you get that character after a certain amount of summons.

But in Lost Word it feels like you won't be able to mass summon because of coins. With such a low coin cap, it feels like you can only save enough for one or two 10 pulls at a time unless you go out of your way to keep certain mail/task rewards uncollected so you can restock your coins after blowing them all. Do you summon regularly to use up coins or should I be using the shop more instead?

You hoard the same as in other gachas, and you just let your coins overflow the "limit". The limit only prevents you from picking up coins from the offering box, which isn't much of an issue since you don't need to clear the coin pickup mission for the weekly paper doll

It's way closer to Azur lane then any other gacha game, which functions in the same way with coins being the real stop gap for rolling. The way you get around is just having high coin storage and keeping mail coins tucked away, then using money from events as well.

Try to ensure you get decent errands, there's a cap on the amount of limited errands the game hands out each day, and limited ones tend to be better. You also can't earn more cubes than what the errand lists, so a 3 cube errand can only pay out with a max of 3 cubes, so try to keep that in mind when assigning friends to errands.

24 hours in a day -> 240 * 24 = 5760 coins per day
5760 coins per day -> 5760 * 7 = 40320 coins per week
40320 coins per week -> 40320 * 4 = 161280 coins per month, enough for ten 10-rolls
And that's just with a lvl 6 offering box and not taking into account the other many ways of getting coins the game has (although I do agree that the limit on coins is bullshit and doesn't add anything to the game and 160k coins a month isn't nearly enough for Sanae's coin exchange on top of all the other stuff that needs coins)

My bigger problem with it is that you can't actually store up that many coins while saving for a character that's coming up. The offering box stops getting more coins once it's full and you can't pull them out if you're over what you're allowed to hold. You're forced to spend and stay below a certain point at all times to not lose out on coins from the offering box.

Just beat Yukari on hard. It somehow turned into a real team effort. Reimu was drawing graze and eating hits, Lily White kept breaking the hag's barriers with her basic focus attack, while Youmu was charging a fat 30k damage nuke and Marisa kept staring at her feet on the backline, that mastersparking dork.
But the MVP of the fight still goes to Lily. The poor girl was barely lvl22 with no upgrades, while everyone else was lvl40+ and limit broken and/or awakened at least once, and she still mercilessly broke through the gap hag's defenses. What a champ.

Re; balance, that really depends, especially if they have one All card and one Solo card. Remember that Full Auto saves the rightmost card for the final wave. So for example, default Youmu saves her All card to the final wave, but LBing her once means she uses it on wave 2 and saves her second Solo card for final, which you usually don't want. Better to save until you can LB her at least twice, so she uses the All on both waves 2 and 3, which is better than LBing two separate girls.

I think filling up a full team of 6 is important, but beyond that is optional. If you want to start saving after 6 it makes perfect sense. You only get a few errands with cubes anyway.

Jap version has rerun banners plenty of times, especially the ones of really good characters. The devs are clearly aware of how good Toyohime is so her banner has been around every couple of months.
