The weaker an ability a boss has, the stronger their attacks are, and viceversa.

Merlin? Ability to play the trumpet hands-off, nightmarish opener. Shou? Attracts treasure, laser hell. Keine/EX-Keine? Deletes and rewrites history, all but three cards beaten by tapping to sides in a rythm. Yukari? Boundary manipulation, but as a boss almost easier than Ran.
