Do you think FSN (and other VNs in general) would be greatly improved if the text were written by Mark Twain instead?

I'll probably fall asleep by the first chapter.

Get Stephen Hawking on the job and not only he'll do great, he'll finish it a hundred times faster than anyone else.

I'd read a FS/N written by Alfred Hitchcock.
Heaven's Feel would be glorious, no good end though.

'There is more pleasure to be gotten out of a malicious act, when your heart is in it, than out of thirty acts of a nobler sort'.
Cause I like to repeat random quotes.
And no, not really.
Real writers should stick with real books.

I'm waiting for David Lynch's Fate/Stay Night and Burgman's Tsukihime.

I am really fed up with VN authors inclination towards describing mundane daily situations in extreme detail. I don't need a fucking 100 line monologue on why you chose to eat sandwiches for breakfast dammit. If they are intending to immerse the reader more into the atmosphere of the story, they have failed horribly in that aspect.

This is the one VN that did it wonderfully.
Probably because more than a win the girl type of eroge, it's a trip into Taichi's fucked up mind.
Kind of like how American Psycho had pages upon pages of Batterman basically masturbating about a new brand of shoes, the decoration of his card, etc...
Seems to be filler at first but it's actually extremely important to build their characters and it's often pretty tongue in check.

Of course most VNs fail at this, building up characters doesn't need to be boring, slice of life scenes don't need to be uninteresting, huge descriptions of what the characters are eating that are neither witty nor interesting and that bring nothing to the overall story or character development aren't needed.

That's just a lazy way to make the characters sympathic, quantity over quality.

I would love to read a horror V.N by R.L Stine. You would too, admit it.
