Yes. And they all mostly sing about the same retarded subjects. Only the style of vocals separates the two genres.

Death Metal = Growly/mostly unintelligible vocals.
Black Metal = You can understand the vocals.
Doom Metal = You can understand the vocals, but the tempo is slow.
Doomdeath Metal = Growly/mostly unintelligible vocals and the tempo is slow.

Metal is mostly terrible because there are only 2-3 worthwhile bands in each genre. The other 500 bands basically try to copy those 2-3 good ones (but never end up sounding as good).

Metal just reminds me of my confused teen years. Stick with other genres of music or good ol' video game OSTs. Also Alicesoft and Liar-soft soundtracks (eroge music) are actually better produced and mixed than the majority of Black/Death Metal stuff out there.

Now look at your website. It only lists popular bands that every 13 year old knows about.

Also 70,000 bands? Is that really necessary? I still firmly believe that you can grab the top 3-4 bands from each genre of metal and call it a day. Especially when it comes to the oversaturated genres, like Black, Death, and Power metal.
