hello jpsies, im basically a secondary, very familiar with all the characters, music, lore, etc but haven't actually played much 2hu
ive only played TD and got filtered by EoSD stage 2, what game should i play next? i really liked TD even though its apparently easy, the title music is probably one of zun's best compositions and easily one of my favorites

Shinigamis kill and reap the souls of mortals, similar to the Grim Reaper. From what I understand in the Touhou wiki Komachi doesn't kill anyone, she just carries their souls on the Sanzu river. It even says that her occupation is "Carries dead spirits to the yama (Eiki Shiki, Yamaxanadu)". No mention of reaping souls. In fact, it even mentions that "Although Tenshi was defeated in the battle, Komachi is unable to send her to the Netherworld as she is simply a ferry guide shinigami rather than a reaper." There might be other shinigamis in Gensokyo that might have different jobs but Komachi is the only one I know of.

That is true. Over a decade of exposure to the series has pretty much made it an integral part of my being, which kind of sucks because neither the music nor the games impact me in any way anymore. Kind of wish I could give myself brain damage and forget all that information so I can experience it anew.
