Ah OrangeCoffeee. If you like OrangeCoffee's style then I can definitely recommend DDBY (Bizen), unfortunately most of their stuff has been taken down on youtube
I really like this album of theirs (xfade only, you can find the albums easily in the TLMC links above) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se11sbrLy_Y
Most people tend to gravitate to the cafe de touhou line of albums, they're pretty good but can get samey after awhile.

Another Circle that also does similar sounding style of work is flap+frog:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXA3LAn07M0 (If you don't want to go through all the tracks, timestamp 9:54 Un Fiore Rosa (Take B2) is a stand out)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRpOmftGxcs

Special mention for Shibayan Record's Bossa Nova albums, I personally don't really like them, but they seem to be quite popular over the years.

EastNewSound's powerful electronic arranges, nayuta's beautiful singing, the ear-to-ear whispering during interludes for additional build-up. It's fantastic, intoxicating.
Everything fits and contrasts simultaneously. Listening to the lyrics genuinely makes it feel like I'm being subjected to the wicked ramblings of a youkai.

Where can I go if I want to actually legitmately purchase 2hu doujin music? I know what you're thinking, but I am serious, as in, show financial support to them by exchanging my fiat currency for their music. Preferably in the form of paying for digital albums in high quality, not physical CDs which I do not need. Is there any service where the big circles (I am especially into vocal BGMs) sell individual tracks or are buying the individual CDs scattered across various circle sites really the only 'legit' option?

What browser are you using?

I have tested chromium/brave, firefox/icecat. And they all seem to be able to initiate download correctly.

if your download stops midway through it's probably because the connection got cut/reset to the server. In which case I'd recommend a command line utility like wget or curl in order to resume the download.

Browsers aren't really meant to download files this large.

Ah, the weekend.

>> No.34526043

At my local fast food job, my coworkers have this big bluetooth speaker that is set up to allow any of us to play music from our phone. I've never put anything on, but tomorrow is my last day there and I'd like to flash my power level before I leave. What Touhou arrange should I play?

My coworkers mostly listen to hip-hop and that annoying contemporary R&B that's all R and no B.

>> No.34526069

Is Touhou music even high power level? Not like eroge music or anything.

I don't know. He's gonna get stares unless he plays something good. I can't think of anything right now.
They probably won't like metal or vocals even though the former is pretty fucking good in some cases.

>> No.34526660

>>34526140
I don't care if I get stares. This will be my last day at that job; I can make whatever impression I want on them. I actually want to leave a weird one. Besides, they might not even know I'm the one playing the music but for the fact that I've never put anything on before and the fact that I'm going to play something so unlike anything anyone else has played out of that speaker. Again, anyone in the store can connect to it (we're drive-thru-only for the time being due to the wuflu). I actually considered playing a Discworld audiobook through it at one point, but I decided that might be a little too out there.

>>34526069
Unless I've totally misassessed them, these are utter normalfags. Then again, given I haven't shown my power level, it follows that I haven't asked...

So far I'm thinking some of IOSYS's rap stuff. Basic, I know, but again, unless these people turn out NOT to be normalfags, they won't know the difference. Touhou Yacchatta isn't a Touhou arrange, but it might be alright too, although it doesn't have the shitpost value of the cutesy female vocals.

What else, let's see... in the last thread (I think?) I remember a version of Necrofantasia arranged to sound like Bohemian Rhapsody. That might be good times.

>I'd like to flash my power level before I leave
For what purpose? Anyway, I know alot of normies who like Septette for the Dead Princess arranges so give that a shot. Also, look into stuff from T.Stebbins (also normie approved) if you want vocals.

Any and all Japanese music is unusual to hear in the west, and Touhou music of any kind is especially underground.
It is almost guaranteed that no one has ever heard of it besides you, even at conventions.

Having said that, if it's not extremely cutesy vocal pop, then it really isn't all that "high power level".

A doujin music circle notable for various Touhou arrangements such asつるぺったんandケロdestiny.

In May 2012, due to the poor health of vocalist Sayuri the group temporarily disbanded.[1]

In 2013, they reformed with a new vocalist called maicoro-phone and released a new album inComiket 85[2]

Copied straight out of touhouwiki.

Pretty sure this was around the same time a lot of the older groups disappeared/had issues Atsushi (sekkenya's former vocalist) also split from the group for example.

thanks for the recommendations anon. Atsushi is pretty great. Sadly I really dislike beatMARIO, but it did jog another memory in my mind and remind me of TaNaBaTa

You know, I honestly forgot those existed.
The last time I heard male vocals was for one of the metal songs like 3-4 years ago.

i have never seen anyone mention cakebox/shodouteki-no-hito, he's a guitarist from the band Hitorie who made his own circle for touhou arrangement..

There are a couple of other circles I know that have male vocals, though again YMMV.

Ark Brown (Hatsunetsumiko), most of them fall into the funk/disco genre and a lot of the tracks are in fairly legible English (as opposed to 709sec). Their songs tend to be very heavily arranged though, to the point that I often question which parts of the original song are actually in the track:

ytr (Tamaonsen), as this anons has linked before

Kinda cheating since its really an arrange of an arrange of Maiden's Capriccio ~ Dream Battle, featuring fairly well known utaites Tightson and Rapbit (IOSYS):

On a totally unrelated note, have gander at this "R&B" track I found:

All I can tell you without it being personal is that I made another mistake; hesitation.
I could have gotten some stuff done if I didn't hesitate. It's not that I can't do it now, it's just that I wasted a lot of time. To add, prices skyrocketing due to a wildcard event like crypto has fucked some of what I had planned, but they aren't too important.
The only thing worse than making a mistake once is making it again.

Regarding how the doujin music on Spotify came to be:
Circles can sign up to touhou-music.jp to be part of the official music distribution service to platforms such as BOOTH (for digital download specifically), iTunes, Google Play Music (now YouTube Music), Amazon Music, NetEase Music, and Spotify.
I'm part of this group, so even my stuff is on Spotify now.
As to why your favourite circle isn't on there? They likely never applied to it as they are inactive/defunct now or simply prefer to print physical (e.g Eurobeat Union with half of its tracks being originals, which puts them in a messy spot here)
As for foreigners getting in? They're currently invite-only and even when available, you'd have to write emails in Japanese and get a Japanese bank account for revenue sharing.
