Slowpoke here. Finally finished Clannad.

Am I the only one here that prefer Ushio end to the true end?

Time to watch the kyoani anime now, should I be expecting a good adaptation or is it the usual fail adapatation?

But who cares, the only reason to go through After Story was for カントリートレイン and 小さな手のひら.

No way. If Clannad had ended like that I would curse Maeda Jun and never play anything more from Key. It'd make the story inconclusive and having a really bad aftertaste. Like, you regain your humanity after being betrayed by the life just to have it shit on your face again. I'm not such a masochist to like something like that.
Good thing the writer closed that alternative world thing and gave a chance to Tomoya. I'd like it better if Nagisa had just reappeared after all those years, thanking Tomoya and making Ushio wake up instead of the whole dimension change stuff, but being used to Key magic, that was okay.

But surprisingly I didn't really baww during Ushio end.
The only part where my eyes went teary was during Nagisa graduation. Guess it was maybe how I could relate to her going through such a shitty school life.
