The game heavily favours all out attacking, especially with last words. You don't even need dedicated buffers/debuffers because all the best characters just happen to be good at buffing themselves already. There is no real resource management in regular missions so you can totally just bring 6 all out attackers and kill everything with no strategy since all their skills will be ready again for the next battle. Only in the Red Demon Tower is a strategy like stalling something that would ever be relevant. This also leaves most of the tank characters without a real purpose.

Youmu is the best character you can get as the freebie at the start of the game. Japs have Tewi, Medicine, Ran and Kosuzuzuzu ranked as the best characters you can pull from any banner. Also can't go wrong with someone like Patchouli, Remilia, Benben Kenobi or Hatate. Flan is a big meme in this game because she has absolutely terrible accuracy which you can't make up for in the early stages of the game unless you also get super lucky with card pulls. Someone like Kokoro would be a lot better than Sanae when it comes to healers because Sanae does absolutely no damage at all. In general it is better to get lots of attacking characters (and Medicine) instead of passive or tanky characters. Also Satori is pretty terrible while Koishi is ok.

Most spellcards have buffs that activate when you use them which stack with buffs you get from active skills. Joon gets a stage 4 attack buff when using her 1st and 2nd skill together. Yuyuko's last word buffs her attack by 5 stages already so she gets a better buff just by attacking.

The thing is from what I heard, her skill in full auto is RNG with 80% to activate. In full auto if it activate all of her skill at once and both of them hit, it...cancel each other out and basically do nothing so you have to hope only one of them hit.
Which mean her kit was made for manual so you can choose which buff to use for her depend on situation. But everyone going full auto these day, plus she have a crit buff for no reason so there's no place for her right now, maybe support for Flandre?
Goddamn they give Shion and Tenshi all the good stuffs and left her behind. I hate this so much but what can a lone Joon fan like me do?

Eh it was more F2P friendly at launch when you could amass a shitton of cubes with expeditions but they nerfed it and now you can still save for a spark but it takes more effort. Also when it comes to LBing a 2hu there's a weekly mission you can do to get a free LB item so you don't need to roll dupes unless it's a super fes character like Red Marisa or Sword Saint Youmu. The games pretty easy since you just get your strongest attackers to obliterate everything even in lunatic or extra difficulty. The only mode that might give you trouble is called the Demon Tower because it's pretty much the endgame challenge that gives you special LB items for super fes characters. If you're gonna play get a macro ready because the events can get a bit grindy if you want to buy everything from the event store.

I am curious about how the reincarnation system works. Looks like you use 4 mats to reset a character back to lvl 1 but with an increase in stat totals. Reimu seems to go from 6450, which is the max for average characters, to over 7000 which is more than regular limited characters have.

Ring is used to unlock the new costume of the character you want to reincarnate. Reincarnation won't be added until the end of the month though and it sounds like the only regular way to get more of them is by buying them for 300 of the new cube dust. I am just going to hold on to it until they add a character I really like to the reincarnation pool.

Late but Reimu's skills and spellcard effects were improved. Better defensive buffs and graze regeneration, her spread shot is sure hit so she can ignore enemy evasion to keep gaining power for boosts, her focused shot gets sun element without boost to break enemy barriers weak to sun, and her Fantasy Nature has better damage scaling from defense and defense buffs.

Little Yuyuko suffers when it comes to damage on full auto battle. She powers up for every frost and poison status effect that she has and her skills load her up with those quite nicely. Problem is that full auto mode will automatically use the maximum number of shields, erasing most of those status effects. Top image is Yuyuko on full auto and bottom is manual input without any shields being used. Battle only has a single wave on lunatic and the attack used is her last word.
