Try to be random and natural feeling but still deliberate in where things are going.. Remember that you're drawing something with a bit of fluff to it so try not to make things too pointy. Texture is key but keep the strokes big so that it doesn't come off as dirty or too messy. And pick up the pen/mouse quite a bit, will stop you from becoming too patterned.

Something I'm guilty of as well is browsing the internet when I mean to work so try to limit that as well. Also it's okay to take influence from other artists and manuals so don't get too hung up on "finding" your own unique style, that will be developed along with your skills. Try to keep what you want to draw in mind and work towards how to do that effectively. Also learn how to draw things you have no interest in because it'll help you to expand on the things you are interested in
TLDR: Discipline is key. Keep an open mind to learn new things and keep practicing consistently
