OK so everybody around here says japanese a racists as shit.

I lived in Japan for 3 years (2006-2009) and i was fortunate not to have encountered any racist behavior.

Obviously, it exists in Japan as it does in all societies, but I don't think it's prevalent. I think Japan gets a bad rap because the people often speak about topics that are not politically correct in the West such as the homogenous nature of Japanese society, etc.

If you have only been a tourist, you dont speak the language and worked in a Japanese work place you are only going to see a very superficial side of the country.

Here in Japan I hardly see any Black people or even White people around me. Its very rare so im surrounded by almost all Japanese People. But 99% of all Japanese people I meet are very polite, respectable, hardworking, honest and very decent human beings. So take my word for it, Japanese people are not racist,

I think America is more racist and primitive country in this world. They teach democration with bullets in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghan, etc.

Racism, bigotry and prejudice exist everywhere and in every culture and religion, it is not unique to Japan.

Overall, I admire the Japanese and their culture just as I do others. Japan has problems as we all do, but it takes humility to accept criticism from others out side of our own culture.

Americans especially can be very critical of foreign cultures comparing them to its own. Criticism should be given with a humble heart and out of concern for the other and not from complaint. There are a number of countries in the world in which I would want to live; Japan is near the top of the list.

They made concentration camps for the Germans too. In fact it was primarily Germany's fault that they made concentration camps at all because they were actively trying to recruit people in America for the Nazi party. Because the US government could no longer trust it's German citizens, many of whom were members of the American Nazi party to prevent terrorist activities by those groups they simply locked up all the Germans. Not a brilliant move but it worked. One side effect is they also locked up the Japanese.

Oh yeah, racism. Yeah, it's common, and I think it's actually a pretty common human rationalization, derived more from society fears and unity than individual experience.

I still remember my own brother getting angry when an illegal Mexican was involved in a drunk car wreck with a teenage girl which resulted in her death. He told me that this was why we shouldn't allow Mexicans in our country and why they're criminals perpetuating tragedy.

I told him that the real tragedy wasn't an illegal Mexican, it was drunk driving, which is statistically higher in fatalities for American teenagers than it was even for illegal immigrants (especially considering how few illegal immigrants even own cars). He conveniently ignores this blatant fact. He wants to be mad, not for any real reason, and not even because he has any reason to be mad.

He wants to be mad because he is friends with other people who are mad who are probably themselves mad because they stay up listening to Rush Limbaugh who has no reason to be mad except to spread ridiculous overhyped sensationalism to make money.I would want to live; Japan is near the top of the list.

The USA (even if you insist on calling yourselves America, it is a continent, not a country, Canada and Mexico are also America, if you didn't know), has done nothing but pick on third-world countries for oil, with they we can't allow this, we are the world police and so on, saying countries with oil had massive destruction weapons when the USA has the greatest arsenal in the world.
