Yukkuri thread.

In the interests of not bullying FF enjoyers, I'll be putting all non FF content in spoiler tags, and encouraging others to do the same.

Threadly question: What are some ideas you've had for stories that you haven't been able to draw?

A few of mine.

- getting House Yu and building a giant city for them, so you can observe an entire tribe at once
- inserting a single normal sized Marisa to act as the dosu
- friendly mister putting pet yukkuri outside in a glass tank so they can get some fresh air, but them getting terrorized by strays/predators
- a kid having to stay out in the countryside with his grandparents for the summer, and ending up spending all of his time playing with a nearby yukkuri family
- the kid coming back the next summer and finding out that the koyukkuri that he was playing with are now parents, and that they told their own koyukkuris stories about the easy Mr human they used to play with when they were small
- a domesticated Flan that nearby humans and dosus use as a messenger

I'm going to state an unpopular opinion.

If I had a pet yukkuri, and I liked them, I would just let them have kids. They'd be super happy about it, and having an entire family of the little dudes would be way more adorable than having one depressed adult one. Plus, you can get new yukkuri without having to raise the kos by hand.

There's a difference between having your lovely gold badge educated well behaved pet yukkuri having kids with a peer of equal stature who's guaranteed to sire ultra niceheads than your gold badge showing her true colors by wanting to breed with a gutter shithead therefore becoming a shithead herself who is guaranteed to breed even bigger shitheads.
>Plus, you can get new yukkuri without having to raise the kos by hand.
It's not like procuring new yukkuri to have fun with is exactly hard.

Equally unpopular opinion. I like wild yukkuri way more than pet yukkuri. Imagine having a friend that was bred from birth to be your friend, and given a certification for how friendly they are.

It's creepy. Better to give some street nicehead a good end, and if it doesn't work out you get some surprise abyuse.

>It's not like procuring new yukkuri to have fun with is exactly hard.

Yeah, but having a ko without parents is hard because you have to potty train it and keep it company and everything else.

That's standard pet breeding. In fact that's really the entire process of domestication, doing exactly that over generations upon generations.

It's ya boy, "thinks of ideas for yukkuri stories while he's lying awake with insomnia" guy

I had the idea for a story about a guy who has a family of gold badge yukkuri. When they were koyukkuri, about a year earlier, mister got them Christmas presents and told them that Mr Santa did it. Them being yukkuri, they still think that Mr Santa is real, and they have told their own koyukkuri stories about Mr Santa.

Mister's yukkuri hatch an ingenious plan. They'll get a present for Mister, and then label it as a present from Santa. Even a Mr Human couldn't anticipate such an diabolical ploy.

The rest of the story is just this family trying to get some kind of present and pack it without Mr Human noticing and catching on. On the day of, he finds a present under the tree that he didn't pack, and is genuinely confused. Things become a little bit more clear when he realizes that the "from mr santa" is obviously in his Marisa's handwriting and that the wrapping paper is the same as the wrapping paper he was too lazy to put away earlier. He opens up a package of hand picked berries and thanks Santa, loudly enough that the yukkuri think that he was fooled (you don't have to be a good actor to fool a yukkuri)

After that there would be a couple bonus panels of the yukkuri family playing with the toys that mr got them. Loosely inspired by pic related.

Also, a story about a flan that serves as a bounty hunter finding and rescuing badged yukkuri.

I think what's more impressive is how tough they are mentally and how they don't break even after going through the worst and most unbearable misery suffering. I am now opening the polls for tomorrow's dump. It will be a short one, so there will probably be more stuff after it.

Do you want:

A: A satisfying but unfinished abuse story

B: A tragic story involving a rare type

C: A story that I don't even know how to categorize, also unfinished

It's ya boy, "comes up with story idea while lying awake in bed" guy, back at it again.

I've come up with a couple over the last week.

A: Story that's told from a little kids perspective, that's a series of drawings the kid made in school about the gold badge Marisa in his house.

Sometimes when you have little kids and old pets, the pets actually seem to be wiser and more mature than the kids, and function as a kind of secondary parent figure. It would be like that, the crayon drawings of the Marisa drawn by the kid would be interspersed with regular drawings from our perspective, where the pet Marisa is trying to teach the kids ABCs, or trying to stop them from drawing on the wall, or playing hide and seek.

Loosely inspired by pic related >>33701595

B: Story about a ruthless wall street businessman (or the equivalent in Japan, I don't really care what country) who uses a pet Satori to secretly read the minds of all of his competitors.

It's revealed through flashbacks that he bought the Satori on sale (it's implied that he only did it out of pity because it was about to become remi feed) when he was a lowly MBA student, and together him and his pet have risen to the top of the financial world.

C: A dosu that gets recruited to help a village harvest the fields for its traditional autumn festival.

Because it's the herd's dosu, it knows every yukkuri in the herd as if it were its own child, and it is able to keep track of all of them as they pick vegetables and make sure that they don't steal any food for themselves.

The final thing the dosu does is act like a crane to help the villages put together a banquet hall. When the fields are empty, the entire herd is invited into the hall, where it's revealed that the "banquet hall" is just a series of cages for all of the yukkuri and that the herd is going to be the main course of the village's feast.

It's revealed through a series of flashbacks that the village has a custom of luring yukkuri herds in to help them harvest, then eating them in addition to the crops. The final course is traditionally the dosu, because it's so big that it can feed neighboring villages in one big meal.

The dosu is helpless because it has built itself an enormous cage with entire tree trunks as the bars, and it left its spark mushrooms in the forest. The yukkuri, who are like the dosu's own children, are abyused to sweeten them and eaten one by one

On the final night before the dosu itself is to be eaten, a flan comes and delivers the dosu's mushrooms. It's shown in a flashbacks that the dosu sparked the nest of some predators who were attacking the herd, and decided to spare the one surviving koflan and let it into the herd. The flan is the one yukkuri that was able to escape from the humans that first night.

The dosu blasts its way out of its cage and spergs out on the entire village, crushing and burning everything. The few humans who try and fight with spears and pitchforks are reduced to ashes by direct hits

A year later, the next autumn it is revealed that the survivors of the ruined village moved away and never spoke of it again, while the dosu and flan started a new herd, and have spread the word to all yukkuri to avoid "the uneasy place." The curse that claimed so many yukkuri herds is now finally broken.

I like the idea of like a scarface style rise to power plot arc but it's just a yukkuri and owner.

Maybe have a scene where Satori gets anon a massive contract and he celebrates by splitting a bottle of champagne with his yukkuri in the CEO's office. Satori then gets really dizzy and starts ambling around in circles, and he remembers that it's a manjuu and not a person.

>> No.34040495

There was an old picture I remember that had two panels. On one side, there's a charming-looking yukkuri asking politely for sweets while thinking "dumbass human slave will do whatever I want if I ask nicely, how pathetic". On the other, there's a trashy looking one saying some typical shithead threat while thinking "the world is a cruel place and I must do what is necessary to protect my family".

Does anyone happen to have it saved, or remember the artist?

I never understood why dosu were always seen as so much of a threat. they might be able to spark (which I think is a bit bullshit and should be a threat to yu and not humans), but they're still just manju. you could rip one apart with your hands, use a hose or pressure washer to break one apart, a single bullet could pierce their core, etc. I like dosu a lot, but pitting them against humans feels a bit absurd
and why is it that some dosu have random accessories like that? is it from the dead of their herd?

>> No.34045884

>>34041367
My thinking is that to make it more even, it's implied that the village is only using medieval technology, because it's in Gensokyo or it's very rural or something. This would also be why they don't just call the police.

As for sparks, I think that it's fair to give them one OP ability because it requires a finite, rare, item (the mushrooms) and because dosu themselves are halfway to being youkai in terms of rareness.

Also, I think just in terms of structural mechanics, they have to be a little bit stronger than regular yukkuri because otherwise they would just collapse under their own weight. Same reason you don't see a skyscraper made out of balsa wood.

Honestly though, I just like the idea of a dosu going full godzilla and just destroying everything. I wanted to give the yukkuri a win for once after all of the innumerable times they've taken the L to mr human.

You saved a lot of money for this day.
Today (you) are going to buy your first pet yukkuri.
Which yu would you choose? Why? How much are you willing to pay for a badged one? Would you abyuse 'em or love 'em?
Or would you prefer to save the money for later, and just pick up a stray/wild one?
I would insta-buy a Patchy. Extremely high IQ (by yukkuri standards). Look at this one, damn it.

I don't like the idea of buying yukkuri in general, but I think I've figured this out. I don't like buying pre-trained badged ones because they kind of creep me out, and I don't want to leave them alone because shitheads or abyusers will kill them.

So what I do is I buy a baby remilia or flan from a gold badged mother, and then raise it from birth.

From there, I just start buying compost grade yukkuri en masse and then killing them if (when) they turn out to be shitheads, or just for the fun of it. Really, I just want to abuse as many of them as possible. All the leftovers become food for the remi.

When I decide to keep one., I instruct my remi to watch over this yukkuri and never let any harm come to it, lest I begin abyusing remi instead of remi's food.
