I need to reread Homer's works. Been about 5 years since I've read any of them. Main thing I remember of the Iliad, beyond the plot, was that the introduction of each and every character, major and minor, seemed to drag on/. Probably wouldn't be that bad now.

I also preferred the Metamorphoses to the Aeneid.

The epithets were too repetitive since the whole thing had to be memorized. The Aeneid, which was initially written, was a lot more gripping, in my opinion.
