Thought about going to that new restaurant in town but they don't have any 1 person tables? Consider Greenworms! Eating food is a Greenworm's specialty, and the more options the better! So one interesting early detail is that it seems to me that whatever you beg the lilim at the open of the game to do to you becomes your "weakness," and gets listed among your character's incubus skills (yes, your weakness is considered a skill of sorts). I asked for paizuri, and now breasts are my character's weakness.

Also, the imps speech patterns are damn annoying. The NPC ones are amusing enough, but I don't know if I want to add the playable one to my harem. Gonna go for the werecat when I get up in the morning.

One other note, it seems that the player character is only attractive to certain pre-selected monsters. One monster you talk to early in the game notes she isn't going to go after you because you have the strong scent of another monster who has claimed you (the lilim). It's unclear just why certain monsters are not deterred, but the lilim indicates that we have some kind of secret past.

The base rationality/logic of harems in my mind stems from the simple biological aspect that a man can impregnate a number of women at a time but a woman can only be impregnated by one man at a time (at least usually). Thus there is some logical motivation for women to share a desirable man and for a man to wed multiple women.

There is still plenty of exclusivity in MGE harems though, i.e. the majority of the unwed female population is still off limits to a guy with even the biggest harem.

Personally I recognize monogamy as being the best usually, and in the real world multiple wives rarely works well. But in special cases it can, and perhaps that makes those relationships all the more admirable.
