She has an introduction video where she reads English from a script and says she wants to learn to speak English and stuff. She also has videos for Korean and French that I assume she runs as ads, you can view them on her channel. I guess since I sat through her ad, maybe she got front page placement to encourage a conversion though I'm not certain YouTube sells ads like that.
As for why no adblock, some websites are assholes about their ads but blocking sites like YouTube (and yes, even 4chan) that go about it the right way is lowlife behavior in my opinion. So I run without adblock so I can gtfo of the bad sites and never come back while supporting sites that do it right. I guess whichever channel I'm watching gets a cut too, however small.

I didn't know either prior to her retirement announcement. She effectively operated like an indie on her YT channel, without a staff or manager. Didn't help that the service was dead for like 1/3 of her career.

Her being under a company did explain a few things though, like her silky-smooth rigging, her design(Saine's fees are known to be $$), those few permission-safe games she plays and her appearance on that one fortune teller special on TV.

I personally don't mind the model but I see how it's a bit rough. To me the quality is just below holo3d models and they all look MMD to me, I like her's though, it can be quite expressive although limited and the costumes shows she cares, you could say it has SOUL

If someone searches Vtuber she should show up. Also I looked on leddit to see if there was anything about her and there was a post made by her that got modest attention 9 months ago. That was back when you could say vtubers were still a bit niche, before the holocaust, Gura and holoEN was even a thing.
There's quite some more eyes now I believe compared to back then and she got more chances to be seen by people looking for indies. Anyway my best wishes to her, hope she makes it.
