My country is independent since pratically the 12th century (except for a period of less than 100 years when it was a junior partner in a personal union), its land borders are roughly the same since the 13th century and we have not been invaded since the napoleonic wars.

Europe had so many wars that they couldn't name all of them so they simply took the whole era and called it "the dark ages" because it was full of so much shit.

But then again, Europe's history is by far older than America's history which is quite young, so I guess that America has quite the list considering the fact that America's history is kind of a "new" thing.
