----------------------
Hello, this is @yukiyuki_amano.
In order to counter harassment against hololive 4th generation member Kiryu Coco, stream watching fans (tatsunoko) will temporarily be granted moderator status. This is a test run, so on principle, each stream will have mods selected randomly from a list.
A simple procedure has been created for those of you who will be moderators in the future, so please take a look at it. Please note that even if you are selected as a moderator, it is not mandatory or obligatory. Please try to do what you can!
*** Moderator's Powers ***
Moderators can:
- report messages
- delete comments
- time out users
- hide and unhide users (shadowban)
As moderator, the menu can be accessed by clicking the 「︙」 button in chat or on the message itself on smartphone.
Delete:
removes the selected comment from chat.
Put user in timeout:
Targetted user will have commenting disabled for 300 seconds and the send comment button will be grayed out. All comments that were posted before the timeout will be deleted from chat.
Hide or Show users on this channel (shadowban):
The targetted user is made invisible. Comments of the hidden user will not be displayed including past posts. If you accidentally hide an ordinary user, take action to unhide the user as soon as possible.
Don't worry, it is possible for the streamer to un-hide the hidden user from the admin screen.
When you are blocked, even if you continue to type comments, they will not be visible to anyone except the person who made them, and all comments made before you were blocked will be marked as [deleted].
*** What Moderators Should Do ***
Select the comment and choose to hide it or time it out. This can be done on either PC or smartphone.
There is a slight lag before this is displayed on screen, so be careful not to unhide comments that have been handled by other moderators.
Characteristics of trolls:
Most trolls post comments in Chinese or broken Japanese, but some copy paste user comments so be aware. In some cases, trolls post under the same name as members so you can easily identify them by membership icon.
Some troll accounts on twitter are pretending to act as if they are old-timers and want to be moderators.
In the future, we will update this information with frequently used phrases and trends.
